Putting on double top plate after the walls are up...rookies. Hey brother, when using collated tikos and your hammer, bend the nail sideways partially tearing the paper, then put the head of the nail in the hanger hole and tap with your hammer (tearing paper fully), then sink it. You don't have to tear it off, and don't have to put down your hammer, and your fingers are safely away.
Haha, yeah my brother was nailing off those tikos. He knows the trick just didn’t use it at the time. Definitely saves time. Also we double top plate our walls on the ground where we can. When overlapping the top plate on the next wall we obviously have to do that after standing the walls that are butt walls not through walls. 🤷🏽♂️👍🏽
