The ghost cube is actually my favorite 3x3 shape mode, I think its super fun because you need to recognize shapes, just like the mirror cube but with a much greater difference between each piece.

One time I said “hand me the gear cube” and my friend Madison said “It’s a SPHERE” and wouldn’t hand me the gear SPHERE until I admitted I was wrong XD
I bought the gear cube back in December. When I was allowed to go to physical school, I had brought it in to show my friends, who like playing with my puzzles. One of my friends had accidentally dropped it in humus. So I can now confidently say that humus is not a great lube.

Okay but for the gear shift you also want to hold two opposite sides and pull. This will allow you to only turn 4 pieces one one side instead of all of the pieces
Thats the way to scramble, cause if not you can just turn and will soove easy

HELPFUL TIP: If you get center parity, put that side to the right, with white on the bottom, and do R2U2. Then you can turn the center whichever way you want until it is alligned correctly. Then undo the moves by doing U2R2 and you're good to go :)) Edit: that is also how i was able to solve the ghost cube.

When solving the last part of the gear cube, put the edges that are already solved in a strip on the top layer to the bottom layer. than do R U R U R U and it should solve the edges

It's so easy to solve a 224 tower cube you make it a rectangular prism then match edge pairs like 4x4 but with the edges and corners then solve it like a 2x2
For things like those ghost cube centers that come of easily that you want to affix semi-permanantly use a clear paper glue stick. It will hold it in more or less permanently for normal use and if you need to remive it some light heat or warm water will allow it to come apart.

You should bring some of these to Brisbane's 20 in 20. I really liked the idea of the cube table (which got destroyed) with all the different cubes at Northside Cube Days 2020
for the 3x3 gear cube just do (R U)3.It bassicaly swaps those little pieces beetwen the edgepieces and centerpieces
I would recommend using this genre of background music in some of your new unboxings. I like the relaxing groove to them.

Those corn cubes are just like the Anko brand one I found at Kmart! Same piece shapes, but the Anko one was only available in 6 tall by 8 around. It doesn't have the wheel decoration on the ends.

Honestly, when it comes to the ghost cube, I'd probably get three of them, one to display as it is out of the box, one to display in it's solved state, and of e completely scrambled, just because it seems like it would be cool.

im pretty sure you can pull two corners of the gear shift 2x2 to turn it differently
That's Oskar's 2x2 gear cube, you can pull it apart to scramble more than just twist corners. For the rest, check out superantoniovivaldi's channel for tutorials if you get stuck, ghost 3x3 is the toughest of the lot. The 2x2x4 can literally be solved by using (r' d' r d) for each corner and layer like a normal 2x2 no matter how you shapeshift just its not the fastest way.... its a matter of perception. Have fun puzzling :)

Walt Chalmers I don’t think so. There are a few more tricks to solving 7x7 centres, but if you can solve a 5, you can do 6 onwards intuitively imo.
If there are 3 unsolved corners on floppy ghost cube, do RU repeating. And ghost cubes are easy if you are good at recognition

ghost cube is sooooooooo hard but once you figure out how it works like a 3x3x3 it gets a lot easier the trick is tho you can only do layer by layer and translating the algorithms is hard
About the Z-cube keychain cubes, they aren't comp legal, because of the holes, you could memorize which is the one with the holes, and know which one it is by looking at the holes, and not the colors.

That gear shift 2x2 is one of the cooleat puzzles I have ever seen! Edit: but that geo cube is giving the gear shift a run for its money on being the coolest puzzle. Maybe I'll wait till the end to comment again cuz the geo will probably be beat too. Edit: nope, geo cube n gear shift 2x2 are the coolest imo.
