    • @Lord Macaron diabetes is caused by either type 1 the pancreas doesn’t produce insulin to allow the sugar to enter the blood cells so it can be transferred all over the body for energy. Or type 2 ( the type I have) where the pancreas either doesn’t make enough insulin or ( I my case) the body doesn’t use the insulin that is made. Yes it runs in the family . But eating too much sugar doesn’t cause diabetes. Though eating too much sugar can cause problems such as bladder infections that can help diagnose diabetes.

    • @windmagelita Yeah, I get you. I had this friend who had type 1 diabetes and was in the hospital for 2 weeks. Type 2 diabetes usually runs in the family, but can also be caused by eating extra sugar/not eating healthy. For example my mother was a fairly healthy woman and she got diabetes when she was pregnant with me. I personally don't have it but tons of my family does.

  • Tanghulu is a traditional snack originated in Beijing and Tianjin of China. It's called Tanghulu or Bingtanghulu in Beijing and tangdun in Tianjin. It's called tangqiu in Qingdao, and it's also called liziyu, niaoli paste and niaoli sugar in Minnan dialect of Taiwan.
