So here’s the weird thing with what he says, especially his speeches. If you see them written or you take a few random sentences out of them you can see that they’re often essentially a mad-lib, fill in the blank stew of hyper-conservative aggression. However, if you listen/watch the speeches and talks in their entirety it’s a bit like entering the uncanny valley of language. Things don’t make more sense but the flow almost allows you to hear what his supporters want to hear. I almost equate it to that video on KZhead where they recreate what English sounds like to a non-English speaker. The words ALMOST make sense and you draw context from situations that seem familiar to you. That’s my take on it. I don’t believe it excuses people who support his hateful rhetoric, but for people who don’t want to look too closely you can ALMOST see how they have learned to accept him.

A few of his people (including Trump jr) around him had been found to have ties with Russia, so my guess is (besides possible obstruction) why it’s hard to find that he colluded with Putin is because maybe he had his people make direct/electronic contact with them and got the information later in private so he could have his hands not dirty during the time the investigations would occur.
