This is a demo of the new BKP Impulse pickups. They are incredibly versatile so the demo came out a little schizo. Hope you like it anyways :)

  • Those Impulses sound so smooth, like butter... I'm split between these, and the Bare Knuckle Aftermaths for a bridge pickup Dx Aftermaths hit so hard, and sound so powerful, really good for a loud djenty tone, but the Impulses make even djenty metal sound smooth and soft, relaxing even. I wonder if either of them would sound good in a Neck position...

  • Considering getting a pair of these in white ... I noticed that they are little less hot than the juggernauts which is what I was initially going for, but I'm a fan of Josh and Northlane and i really dig his tone. What are the pros and (if any) cons to these vs. other pickups? I currently have Ionizer 7's in my ibanez.

    @mdsnjms@mdsnjms7 жыл бұрын
    • Hi Madison. Not really sure if I can give you any pros or cons compared to other pups. What I can tell you though is that they have the magic formula och clear and punchy that I pretty much want out of every pickup for every guitar. I really like them.

  • Great demo ! By any chance have you tried the X2N pickup and compare ? I used one and I remember the X2N had in some way this organic and very balanced tone.

    @SebEvilness@SebEvilness6 жыл бұрын
    • I haven't. Is that a BKP as well?

      @johnhuldt@johnhuldt6 жыл бұрын
    • Nope, actually it's an oldie, the Dimarzio DP102 X2N, but still used by some people. Claimed muddy, but when I had one, I noticed it was quite neutral and respectul of the guitar tone, thus with a poor guitar, you get a poor sound, but with a cool guitar, my feeling was that the sound was full and organic, but it was years ago. Then I switched to EMG for a thrash project which needed the special bite of the EMGs. Today I was thinking again about the X2N, but I hear about the Impulse and now I am here :) What I read and see about the Impulse reminds me this feeling with my X2N, maybe I'am wrong, or not, so I would be curious to compare both of them on my Les Paul.

      @SebEvilness@SebEvilness6 жыл бұрын
