No surprise that I Want It That Way from Backstreet Boys is #1, but there are some songs from the early 90s that I still memorize and…dude I am getting old, and still love hearing those songs.
Yeah and even it’s no surprise that I want it that way is in the soundtrack of GTA 5 as well.

I was a big boyband fan in my teenage years, mostly Westlife and Blue, but listened to a lot of songs from other boybands too. I think the biggest boyband song for me, when I was a teenager, was World Of Our Own by Westlife. Now I still like boyband songs and listen to many now and again.
If you were/are a fan of Westlife & Blue, you must be from Europe. Being from the US, I didn't learn about Blue, Westlife, US5, etc. until I visited Europe for vacation & heard Maria by US5. Then I started looking them up & found others like JLS and The Wanted.
Phase? I still rock my boy band music. I grew up in the 90s, the prime time to get into the music. I have BSB, NSync, Take That, Westlife, Blue, Boyzone, O-Town, Five, and 98 Degrees are still in heavy rotation in my music collection! I will never let them go!

My boyband phase was during the N'SYNC - BSB era of the late 90s - early 2000s. I would still revisit it every once in a while.
I never really fallowed boy bands, I just really loved the music. You ask me to name a single band or band member in said band I couldn't tell you. The only reason I know some of them is because their names are memes now or they went on to become famous separately Accept of course for the Jonas Brothers. But that's because they were on Disney Channel growing up so

For me it was Larger Than Life and Everybody, both by the Backstreet Boys. A classmate of mine in elementary school was in a group who sang Larger Than Life in a talent show and Philip was the star!
“All or Nothing” was the first song I slow danced to with a guy in middle school! I still listen to a lot of these songs!
I agree that all of these were some great boy bands and songs. I just wish that my hometown boy band would have been included. The band was called Dru Hill and they put out some amazing songs back in the 90’s-early 2000’s.

Seriously... the mention of "I want it that way" on Brooklyn 99 but no Ryan Reynolds singing "I swear" in Just Friends!?!?! It's just so funny or even Minions singing it at the end of the second Despicable Me movie. Seriously this tune is so iconic it is still used in pop culture today. It should have been higher!!!
Westlife doesn't get nearly the appreciation they deserve.
Westlife never had a single hit in North America. I can understand why Watchmojo (a Canadian KZhead Channel) doesn't have them listed here. I know they are big in the UK.

@@Miist3rDuce1 Westlife is only popular in UK and other parts of Asia only. Outside of these two, they are not so successful in other parts of the world including US. Also, they almost always revive or just do covers of other songs. Their original song were not so successful and forgettable.

Rightfully my boys are number 1 the Backstreet Boys have been still entertaining us for almost 30 years now not many boy bands can say that and us fans cant get enough I went to a concert last month in mountain view that was everything and was a sold out show too greatest boy band ever I love them! 💜

I was in middle school for Hanson, Nsync, and the Backstreet Boys. Then I went thru a belated NKOTB phase in college. And then I couldn’t help but get hooked on One Direction. Boy bands 4 life, I guess 😂 I was at my job at a school recently and overheard the whole 8th grade burst into I Want it That Way. Made my heart so happy!
Jordan being the “lead” singer is my trigger. It reminds me of the album he did where he was the only one singing all the hits. I forgave him after he said it was the label that made him make that record.

NSYNC was my life!! I listened to BSB as well, but my walls were covered in NSYNC and Lance Bass posters. Saw them twice and still have the songs on frequent rotation in my music.

You assume my 51 year-old self wasn’t listening to Backstreet Boys the other day. BSB, N’Sync, BoysIIMen, BBD, and New Edition stay on heavy rotation as of 2022!
During the BSB/NSync wars of the late 90s and early 2000s, I was ALWAYS a fan of both but I especially loved the deeper lyrics of songs by a group called Savage Garden. Yeah, I know the homophobic music industry chewed them up and spit them out but I really loved their two album run.
Still listen to Boy Bands... From the back in the day ones all the way up to today... They put out some good music...

I still love boy bands! 1) my fav Jonas brothers song :) 2) I loved o Town and loved this song, even though the music was the same as a backstreet boys song 3) never heard of it or them 4) vaguely remember the song, but not the band 5) one of my fav bands back in the 90s. This song was played on the radio soooo many times 6) looooved! Even learned the dance 7) too old to be a one direction fan, but I do love this song 8) I don't remember the band that much, but only recently heard the song and I quite like it 9) these were more like my mums fav band but I do enjoy the song 10) yeeess!
