He has more to say in 6 minutes than i have in a month.
He talks a lot, but he's not saying anything.
@@ThatOpalGuy What are you saying?
That's rough buddy.
Too much talking
Hahahaha .... exactlly .. lol ...
never knew you could have a hype man in chess
And not such an annoying one sheesh
Hhhhhhhhh😂
I think he's just playing a character
yeah the hype man shit was a bit cringe
You’ve done it again Mike!
I love how at 3:16 they’re saying “I thought that she was going to be tougher” while she moves her bishop into position for the future killing move
Mike is a loud mouth goose
For those of you who have not seen Mike when he plays kids, it is an absolute joy. He teases them. He talks a little trash. They absolutely love him. He takes his losses and his victories as he should, as a good man.
I have poker nights every Wednesday, either at my place or a friend's, we talk shit all the time, but man does it get annoying. You got to know your people. Know who to talk shit to and who not to. Mike is a people person so I'm sure he knows when to tone it down.
I think their chess relationship is awesome.
Nah no "good man" talks trash like that to a lady. He's a a-hole!
I would have asked the guy if he shaves his whole body
@@asusmctablet9180appreciate you making my night
Boston Mike invented trash talking in my opinion but he's actually a really nice guy. Nice game.
Haha if you're ever locked up god forbid, them old schoolers talk as they slowly take all your soups
He wasn't trash talking, but talking trash - trash that talks.
@@Justs99171 maan why u gotta hate on Mike
Yes in 1842 in fact

As much as I love everyone in this video, I am here mostly for hearing Carlini say "Beautiful Mike, you've done it again"
That gets me every time 😂
actually,Great Carlini
@@spirokaci You are absolutely right :D
@@alanfrost75 Hahahaaa....love him
Did you read that from a book?
She is something else. I love not only her skill, but her attitude and good humor.
As an Aussie I have to admire Boston Mike's wit and charisma when sledging an opponent. Having said that you can tell he's just being entertaining and he's actually a really nice bloke. Anna was a great sport too and took his sledging with good humour - and just let her chess do the talking....😎
Hilarious watching virgins trash talk.. odd that i get chess trash pop in my feeds
You call that wit and charisma in Australia? It’s just straight up annoying and cringe 😬
@@Oscar42o Go outside homie
I guess you could say that the chess speaks for itself
Sledging?😂 he got sledged
Here’s what I love about chess - I have no clue what’s going on. I couldn’t tell you who was winning that game if they played it in slow motion. I liked her confidence throughout the game. Sounded like he beat her prior to that but she figured him out for the second game.
He beat her in the first game. Actually she let him win, she often does that. He fell for it and was overconfident.
I know enough the slow mo might actually work for me lol.
eval bar is right there
@@aquelpibe well she straight up lost a pawn for nothing, he just blundered at the end but was winning throughout the whole game
@@androxzu1842 was winning throughout the whole game? Doesn't work like that. He lost. Therefore her strategy won, not his.
I love how she just shines him on with smiles and laughter, then throws out that he doesn't even know where Sweden is. 🤣

@Just Chill You must be from USA

@Just Chill Dunno man, I think it’s on a snowy plane between Narnia and Hogwarts castle, right next to Skellige isles.

I love how she just let him talk, letting him talk a big game when she knew she was already setting up to win.
I love this because, even though it could technically count as trash talking, you can definitely tell that it's never in bad spirit.
Mike might not be the best chess player out there but he’s definitely the best trash talker.
If there is one thing I learned here it’s that Mike had done it again.
I’d be so stressed playing him lol. Probably a good tactic
that is probably the most passive agressive chess match I have ever seen
Passive??
You guys just don't understand east coast humor. This is all loving.
Aggressively passive
@@TotsugekiKun Come visit the east coast US. We like to joke around very aggressively

I mean it's just great to see 2 people having fun, making jabs, and being respectful while doing it. Yeah he was trash talking but you can just tell it never comes from a malicious or condensending place. Just 2 great chess players having a good time!!!
I wouldn't call that "trash talking," but instead, funny banter! Really nice man!
I loved all the smack talk because it was always respectful and he accepted defeat with class. Fun video!!✌️
Seriously, where do you find that trash talk respectful? It is annoying for me

I love that he plays hard with trash talk, but the moment he loses he's the most magnanimous guy there is. Always entertaining, and a great win by Anna. Fun, fun.
Be like that give your opponent much more will to win and shut your mouth. That works to motivate people sometimes
I can't stand guys like that, no respect for his opponent until he loses. So childish.
@@SMacCuUladhIt’s an act. He wasn’t being serious. You could tell, because he didn’t actually say anything offensive. Just some light ribbing.

Same lmao
At first it was hard to tell if the persona was good natured or not, but it became clearer it's all in good fun as the match progressed.
I never thought that someone could be so charming while playing chess. Wow! Her having fun playing literally brightens my day 😊
That's friendly banter still respectful and just making the game a bit more exciting
I've seen him before, he's like a comedy/character chess player. Real fun guy to play chess with.

Mike's really the most chill trash talker ever, he has the ability to befriend every father in this world!
I enjoy the evaluation bar twisting from one extreme to the other one 😂
What I like is I pause it and "calculate" WHY it shifts. I still did not like her opening.
Yeah, there was -7 and M8 in consecutive turns :D
yeah, rb8 looked deadly... but he played rb1 instead
@@lojza51 Yeah Rb8 is +M8 the only response to avoid checkmate is hanging the rook to escape on the h file.
@@sollux13 What about sloshing 4Q hexagonally followed by quipping a52b2 on the Bishop dangle?
What a sweet guy. You can tell he’s just fucking around and appreciates playing with someone who’s good.
This made me smile! Thanks for the video! I really enjoyed it.
You're incredibly good natured and humble. Kudos!
I know nothing about chess... but this was an amazing exchange between two people
She kept her composure and executed really well
To be able to talk that much trash, but be that gracious in the end is pretty awesome.
What else is there to say, Anna brings out the best in everyone, and has fun doing it.
I have never seen a chess game played like that. It was pure joy to watch.
Check out the channel 'Coffee Chess'. They upload all the time and they've had quite a few popular faces drop by including Hikaru.
I don’t think I’ve seen many beat Mike that easily. Kudos.
He had a sneaky cart then horse setup
ya, if you get close to you lose focus listening to him haha
It wasn't easy for sure. Had Mike played Rb8 at 4:13, Anna would've been annihilated. Capturing the rook is countered by Qxb8#, anything else is met with Qxf8#. The only real way to do anything about it is to move h-pawn 1 or 2 squares forward, but after Qxf8+ black is down a rook and white's attack is basically unstoppable with a checkmate coming in just a few moves.
@@darkeatermidir9410 finally someone who knows chess. Well spotted. You are right. 😉

The way she was so nonchalant in the beginning, and then dominated the board! Can't believe he made that mistake in the end
This was really fun; love how Mike knew he'd lost quite early in but just kept up the banter.
He had winning positions several times, actually, but blunders happened on both sides because this is a blitz game
On a rainy day, these videos makes my day ! Thanks for all the joy.
That guy was actually pretty wholesome
Hustlers, trash talkers, you can call whatever, i just love these guys. They are always good sport, they enjoy playing against everyone no matter the level and if you talk back, it's even better.
I liked how you gave them what he was looking for, let him set himself up then just showed him what he did himself 👏👏
He seems like a really fun guy. You definitely had his number though, well played.
They were both trash talking to each other and having a good time.
I don't know chess at all, but I always love watching a good natured, trash taking match.
That's not trash talking, it's two friends teasing each other and having fun. 👍😎
Exavtly
I trash talk often with friends when we play games, isn't it still trash talk?
@@TheTerrorHamster i think that if it is your way to demonstrate love and company to your friends, not really, if it isnt too much agressive
@@TheTerrorHamster It can be - my friends and are do the same thing. The difference is we can be savagely cutting, trying to get each other to either laugh or get angry enough to blow the game, whereas in the clip they're being very gentle with how they 'insult' each other.
"That's not trash talking, it's two friends teasing each other and having fun." It's still trash talking. And he sounds ridiculous in the way he does it.
I love this banter
This was fun to watch. Anna's smile and laughter were like armor against Boston Mike and she gave right back effortlessly. 😂 She knew it was all over at 5:13 maybe sooner when she says "queening pawn??" Then she laughs and disses Mike for counting pieces. 😂 Then "I think that was a little too much [domination]" at 5:38. Boston Mike sees it about ten seconds after that. Too funny!!! Wow you could have rubbed it in but decided the more tactful "I'm sure you'll still have fans in Sweden Mike" What class Anna!
The moment at the end was classic I saw it coming too. Even great players sometimes forget defense.
great stuff from both, love it.
Just recently found Anna's channel and I have to say I'm enjoying the content. Her energy is fantastic and her passion for the game is very apparent 👍
At 4:14 - the white rook should go to B8 and the white has a check mate in the next move or the pawn goes to H6, the black rook is taken, then the black king goes to H7, etc. In any case, the white one has a big advantage.
I know. I noticed. He should have won, and it wasn't even that hard!
Trash talking made him lose focus.
I wouldn’t have expected her to fall into mate straight away from there but I did wonder why he didn’t do that instead of concentrating on defending his rook. I thought I must have just missed something since I’m not a good player and have never been taught.
He was so busy busy in the active part of the board he never saw her solid corner and constant winning of ground in the centre & basically all he had was his pawns moving forward, or not. Love it. Aussie Old Lady
I actually really like this guys "trash talk" he doesn't sound like he's geniunely hating
Boston Mike always busts balls with the energy and respect that makes it fun for both players. Great video!
He was in pretty good spot at one point. Rook and queen on 8th rank were a big threat and Anna would have had to sacrifice a Rook to survive, I think (I might be wrong but the eval bar was pretty much all white at the moment. When Anna moved her rook she was done for it, but he panicked and retreated his own rook to 1st rank and that was a heavy blunder, the eval bar went whoooooop to black)
Yup
Yep, he played B1 to defend when he should have went full throttle offensive with B8. Checkmate on next turn if nothing is played. Anna’s rook can’t take or it is still checkmate via back rank queen check. The only escape is to push the pawn, sacrificing the rook and also the pawn above the rook and destroying the king defence in the process. A lethal move Mike completely missed.
@@LtKregorov I saw that and wasn’t sure if it would be the win, but it sure looked good.
Yeah I was wondering why he didn’t play rook to B8 when it could’ve led to a win and caused her to panic.
I saw that too, though her rook was protecting her king so she didn't need to move it and take the other rook. She could have opened up an escape route with a pawn move instead. Not sure what would happen after that though.
5:00 “you’re losing!” *black +8.1*
Class acts all around. Such a thrill to watch!
You two are adorable together as opponents
Stopped watching these guys some time ago but Mike made me smile watching this. well done both
Ooh that was another awesome game! I was laughing along with the banter! 🤘😀
mike is the fucking sweetest. love that guy
This video is actually nice! Mike is quite a good thrash talker but a very nice guy at the same time
I love how annoying he gets, but that's only psychological warfare. It's still all fun and games in the end even when he lost. Good sportsmanship!
This game was actually crazy the evaluation bar went back and forth so kuch
I'm no chess player but all the sledging and trash talking in this is so warm and lovely, and everyone is having a blast. So much genuine affection and respect for each other. This video had me smiling from beginning to end. Thank you.
Sometimes you have to check trash talkers. Good to see both players were laughing at the end. Well done
Boston Mike is always a great show
At 2:48 if you sacrifice your queen by putting it on b8, you can win against a beginner! Because if rook takes queen, then rook takes rook, and then when bishop or rook or both bishop and rook get brought down to defend the king, you capture them both and it's a checkmate!
It's always a pleasure to watch to people chess. That enjoy it as much as they do. 😃
I love his voice and the kidding nature. Boston Mike is the perfect name.
You k cry
Love this game! 😆 Anna Staying cool under pressure, nice moves 👍
Friendly banter. This is quite wholesome. Trash talk is not.
Anna you are the nicest. Even your trash talk was a compliment.
Boston Might have lost the battle but he won our hearts

actually made me think he sucked xD
At 4:13 Boston should have won it if he moved rook to B8, that's a disappointing blunder

I tried learning chess but never once won a single match. I was able to see when the match was going to end when it was too late. The same happened when Mike did his last few moves. These two make moves so fast, I had no idea what was going on.
