  • Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. kzhead.infoUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.

  • Awesome! This used to be my job when I lived in Norway, but rarely did we see this much snow at once. Thanks for the upload, brought some memories back. Looking at the amount of snow, the diagonal plow was not the ideal tool. A V plow would have been more efficient and allowed him to keep a higher speed to throw the snow a bit further. There is also the risk of being dragged to the side with a diagonal plow.

    • Something similar happens here in the US. I'm from Minnesota, but this probably applies to anywhere that regularly gets a proper winter: We tend to laugh a little or just be confused when somewhere in the country a couple inches of snow falls and it makes national news. It would take a few feet of snow here to get a couple seconds on the national news. Needless to say, the last few weeks have been very puzzling for me: "What do you mean two inches of snow shuts down the entire southern half of America?"

    • @@ebnertra0004 Inch of snow in PA leads to milk shortages, and they get snow every bloody year. -_- And Oregon? Quarter inch, suddenly no one knows how to drive.

    • @@ebnertra0004 The thing is population, more people more chaotic during heavy snow. In Stockholm its fine until heavy snow comes. Especially if the heavy snow comes in a few hours during the morning commutes for example. EVERYONE is going somewhere and the plows get stuck in traffic etc. People are people and the more there are higher the chances there is incompetence the aswell. especially in traffic

    • Being from Oregon, I can confirm. If it even rains, people forget how to drive. On the few occasions there is decent snowfall, there are people spun out or stuck on curbs every 200 feet.

  • As I watch this it's -33C (-45C w/wind chill) here, and it's going to be this cold all week. I think I'd prefer all that snow! :D

  • The first bit there had the beginning remind you of what my road looks like after a good northwest wind my driveway can get to 20 foot or more depends how much snow came down. I love living on the lake, but I hate it in the winter.

  • Welcome back, Andreas! hope you're well. I don't remember seeing so much snow, even though I was in Gothenburg for 3 winters in a row. I recently saw a picture of a postman who was in shorts and a T-shirt, even though it was -6 degrees outside. Take care of yourself and drive safe!

    @evilrebe@evilrebe3 жыл бұрын
    • -6 isn't very cold when you're doing physical labor, especially in sunny weather. It is better to keep cool than to wear too much and start sweating, as sweat will put you at risk for hypothermia.

  • Have plowed similar amount of snow on a forest road in Finland with a wheel loader, it is very satisfying watching the snow get pushed out of the way.
