When was the last time you watched Captain America The First Avenger? Did you know it’s only been 7 years since that was in theaters?! Check out the origin of Steve Rogers aka Captain America way back when in World War 2. Meet Dr Erskine, Agent Peggy Carter, Howard Stark, the Red Skull, Armin Zola, Bucky Barnes, and the Howling Commandos in Captain America’s first outing. This is the first use of the Tesseract as a weapon in the MCU and the easter eggs to the Avengers and future marvel movies is awesome! Did you catch all easter eggs the first time around? See if I missed any and let me know which one’s blew your mind. Let me know down below or on twitter @sambashor!

  • When Steve asks "where are we going?" and Bucky responds "The Future" that is definitely a foreshadow to The Winter Soldier and both of them being the two people from back then to come to the modern era

    • Kinda, but it's not the same character, the Fantastic 4 one is from modern times, while the original is an android from the 40-ies. They actually used his body to build vision in the comics afaik.

    • Maybe not the same character , but still a nod to him having played A Human Torch . Also , since the 40's original was actually an android , should he be called a " Human " Torch ?

  • Little Historical Easter Egg here: the super solider serum changes Cap's eyes from hazel to blue in a reference that "Aryans" were the most genetically pure. So they turned Cap from a scrawny kid into what Hitler thought was the perfect human.

    @matthewobrien6862@matthewobrien68626 жыл бұрын
    • When did his eyes turn from hazel to blue? I thought the salient (though subtle) point in having him open his eyes wide like that was a call back to the 1970s Banner to Hulk transformations. As we know, the super soldier serum (some version of it) is what made Banner the Hulk (which is a pretty cool connection there for Cap and Banner).

  • Red Skull never died, he grabbed the Tesseract and he was teleported to the planet Vormir (Beam Teleportation) where he is found in Avengers: Infinity War. Later to be found is that he's the protector of the Space Stone (Infinity stone inside the Tesseract) But due to the upload date of this video, you couldn't have known that. But you've probably seen Avengers 3 and know that by now (that makes a lot of sense). This comment was for nothing, but I still commented it.

  • A little late, I know, but Matt Salinger, who played Steve Rogers/Captain America in 1990, was NOT in Captain America: The First Avenger. I wish he had been. It would have been a nice nod to the little Cap movie that couldn't. According to a GQ interview, he did let the production team know he was interested in a cameo, but they never called. www.gq.com/story/matt-salinger-interview-captain-america The 1970's Captain America, Reb Brown, also wanted to make an appearance in The First Avenger, but was publicly unhappy about not being included.
