  • People who are calling for Dan Campbell to be fired because they lost in the championship game are so dumb. DC is the best thing that’s happened to this organization.

    @MashaRistova@MashaRistova3 ай бұрын
    • It truly wasnt even his fault either, the entire lions team flopped the entire second half. Dropping easy first down conversion passes, overthrown deep balls to guys who were wide open, TONS of missed tackles, fumbling the ball, missing two easy interceptions one in which lead to a miracle completion. If the lions took advantage of even half of the opportunities they were given in the 2nd half the game wouldn't have come down to a simple field goal call. People who say its his fault they lost are delusional.

    • It's a bit like the Chargers overreacting to choking against the Patriots in 2006 and firing Marty Schottenheimer after a 14-2 season. Just plain dumb. Though, Norv Turner reaching the AFC Championship game the following season, only slightly vindicates that move. Firing Dan Campbell would be the dumbest move the Lions could possibly make.

  • As a Lions fan, I can promise that if we had a Time Machine back in 2021, and if we traveled to today, Lions fans would absolutely rejoice at this season rather than complain about Dan and the team. We’ve now got problems we wished we had even 2 years ago, and problems most teams today would give anything to have.

The remind me of that 04 Pistons team that beat the Lakers in the Finals. They play hard, aren't particularly flashy and they're good because they're a well built squad and not because they happen to have one amazing player. Truly hope the Lions make the Superbowl next season so they lose to us. I'd be so proud of the Lions for being part of our 4th Superbowl win in six seasons.

Dan and Brad and Sheila brought this team back from the dead and have made it fun to be a Lions fan. I was and still am heartbroken over that last loss, but am amazed at how far we’ve come as an organization since the hiring of these guys. I hope they continue to build off of everything that they’ve done so far and can win us some rings.

This video was the first thing I've consumed, media wise since Sunday, and it's definitely helping to cure the hangover. 2024 will be a great year for us, and also coincidentally the mg of caffeine MCDC will consume daily.

At halftime I told the homies “everything gotta go wrong for the Lions and everything right for the Niners for them to comeback” and it was almost exactly like that! Dan kept it real with his players “this might’ve been are only shot” cuz it’s so hard to go back! Cheers to him and the whole staff, making the Lions relevant after all these years is bad ass

It sucked, mistakes had been made. At the same time it was 100% exactly what inspired so much pride over the last 3 years. Gutsy, gritty football. I love and and I CAN NOT WAIT for next season. • Hearing that we're retaining Ben Johnson was the blast of dopamine I needed on day 2 of my mourning. It still sucks, there is no guarantee they will get back there again, but I don't like how everyone is questioning and criticizing his play calls. Those types of calls are what they have done all year, they go for the throat, they go for the kill shot. The players did not execute. Between the 49ers' lucky breaks and the Lions' mistakes, they proved they weren't quite ready yet.

  • It’s manly to cry as long as it’s over manly things. Like your favorite team winning the Super Bowl, or your most hated team winning the Super Bowl. I thank God every day that Tom Brady aged like a semi-mortal and retired from the NFL.. cause I cried a lot between 2002-2019. 2018 was the only year that it was tears of joy. On a side note: I bet Slay was real excited when the Eagles hired Patricia to be ADC and then DC! I hold Matt Patricia personally responsible for the collapse of the Eagles defense in the 23/24 season.

My son fell in love with football and I got to watch 20 Lions games with him this year, it was stressful, nerve wrecking but most importantly amazing! Not a bandwagoneer either - I had a Lions season ticket 🎫 n 2012, and almost every time I watch the Lions on TV, I turn off the sound and stream 97.1 to hear Dan Miller and Lomas Brown (and Brandy before him). Without trying to make a direct analogy or relationship, everything I and everyone else here loves about Dan Campbell is everything I and other Steelers fans used to love about Bill Cowher. Highly emotional, a “players’ coach”…I sometimes even see MCDC sporting the same protruding chin. 😅

There has been setback after heartbreak after collapse but i always felt the team went down swinging, even when they would often pull defeat from the jaws of victory and find new and exciting ways to lose. I'm so happy for their recent success, I am thrilled that other people have been made aware of the grit and dogged resilience that i feel defines this team and the city they rep. It feels great that the team finally feels like it has its feet under them and the future is looking bright.

His words were “The Lions may be a 1-3 team but they’re a DAMN interesting 1-3 team.” And the rest, is history. I’ll be a Vikings fan until the day I die, but I can admit I felt a little pride watching the Lions claw and bite their way to the top of our division these past two years.
