O'Neill Ops in conjunction with Ultimate Night Vision, bring you an in depth review of one of the custom rifles used for hunting Predators at night, with specified details on the Thermal Optic, the Pulsar XP50LRF Mod 2.
I have been watching your videos for 10 years. I have always found every one of the reviews informative and the hunting entertaining.
Love my 250, have taken everything from foxes to buffalo with it. My favorite .22 round. Awesome looking gun surrounded by a wall of awesome looking guns.
This channel is truly a blessing.
About 8 yrs ago I re-barreled my 22-250 with a 1 in 8 twist barrel. I'm shooting 77 grain Sierra's and now 75 OR 80 grain Hornady ELD. 1000 Yd chip shots. H-4350 powder
I love your guys's videos. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Logan, I know this video is lengthy and not really entertaining, but hoping to get you guys some good info!
Ooooooooooolahlah!!! That is one sexy beast of a rifle😍 Brother, I do so appreciate and thank you for all your videos and excellent educational information. I been shooting for 40 plus years on a regular basis and I still learn from each of your videos. Please keep them coming.
Thanks for another great video.
Excellent apparatus as usual! This channel is bar none.....
Nice set-up 👌
I have the pulsar trail lrf xp50 1st gen and love it but in different temperatures I do get some point of impact shift! Would love to get another and think with the new housing it will fix any of the issues with the 1st gen! Great video 👊🇺🇸
Nice rifle James.
Just started watching ur vids, thanx for sharing, im gonna go play lottery now..
Don't get discouraged if you feel the video is informative but not entertaining. Information oriented videos are a nice change up sometimes. Something for everyone. Especially for those of us that like to learn the finer details involved. Another great video.
We need a video on all of the suppressors in that room. I'd love to see a few longer range coyote hunting video, somewhere around 400-500 yards.
Holy cow! Amazing back drop man lol. ive never seen so many pew pews in one spot lol
i had a 26 inch barrel 1 in 14 twist winchester stealth as my 1st cf rifle. with the h&s stock. i got a jewel trigger fitted to it. and it shot very well indeed. 50 grain blizkings and varget powder i then sold it for a friends rpa 22/250 with 12 twist. that shot stupid small groups with 50 grain homeload nostler and blizkings. topped with a zeiss 6x24x56 scope. it was superb under the lamp. then night vision and now thermal come along. great to see the advancements in it all. and nice to see you guys with the moderators. do you need a different permit for those in the usa. i only shot my 22/250 a couple of times here in the uk with out the moderator and its horrid loud
Couldn't pay attention to anything you were saying with all the badass guns on that wall behind you
LMFAO!
im building my own custom varmint rifle in 22-250 from a Savage FV12. How did you decide on barrel length? the standard rifle has a 24" barrel and with a suppressor its a bit of a pain to move in close quarters or in and out of the truck when pigs or dogs run out and surprise us. any info helps. thanks in advance and happy hunting.
Good morning, video recording aside, what’s your opinion between the Armasight Apollo 640 50mm clip on vs Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal. The clip on would be going in front of a Mark5 3.6-18
Hi James good videos like watching them can I ask what phone holder you use on your scopes thanks
Thank you! I use an iphone adapter made by Ultimate Night Vision.
Thanks for your reply James I Use an iPhone Have you got any more info on this please keep up the good work Thanks
That's so awsome, dont understand alot if it but liked listening, I'll keep usein my .243 Savage from wallmart lol good gun for my deer and predator hunting here in Nebraska my passion is Trappin the ole wiley songdog. Absolutely love these vids I always watch and big fan of the Lucky Duck fellas and thats how come across you guys over the week and I gotta say I am Hooked lol what a great show you guy's have put together there in the beautiful state of S.D. anyway went back to the very beginning and have watched every single episode from #1 to now, Awsome Awsome Songdog Hunting Show from the badass music trailers the hunts and talk abouts after the hunt. Read some comments sayin you guy's should be on t.v. shows well I'd say you already do if anything have your own show, well iv rambled on enough keep up the great awsome show Boyz. Peace. I'm OUT lol.
AWESOME, great to hear feedback like this! It's much appreciated. Thank You, and have a Blessed Holiday Season.
Great information again, what .22-250 loads do you typically run through the 1in 8 twist ? 👍🏼🏴
I'm not positive but I think aren't most 22-250 1:9 twist ?
@@gunnarhitchcock4363 Hi Gunner, my Ruger M77 mk11 is a 1 in14 twist ! But I wanted to know what loads they run ! 🤔🏴
@@johnballantyne6853 oh cool is a longer barrel? Just curious!
@@gunnarhitchcock4363 Hi, It’s only 20”. But it groups great with most bullet weights less than 60gn
Most factory 250's are a 14 twist. We run the quicker 8 so we can run heavies if we want to, but for fur we are running the light weight 50 grain Vmax.
If you haven't a laser range finder and the XP50 dosent range distantnces..how would you know your fall of shot in the Dark Or day light??
How do you find time to stay in such amazing shape?
Coyote lifting
What magazines do you run, and how does the 22-250 do being magazine fed?
AI, and Accurate. The 250 runs flawless mag fed.
@@ONEILLOPS Awesome, thanks... how many round?
brother! you are the best, but there is one prose) make subtitles in Russian, Russian hunters are watching you, everyone admires your hunt!
Can you share link on where to find this stock?
Hey James I'm seriously thinking about getting a suppressor but I have a question about them. I just recently got my first .22-250 that's suppressor ready and thats my new yote rig and are cans that are caliber specific to the gun its on reduce the decibel level more than cans that aren't caliber specific?
Generally yes, the more gasses the suppressor can retain for longer periods of time the more efficient and effective it is. So by running an over bore can the is the same size as a caliber specific, you're better off going caliber specific, which is why we developed the .224 and 6mm VAPR.
@@ONEILLOPS thank you for the quick reply. I'm a huge fan of what you do helping out the farmers in your area. I try to do the same for myself and the cattle farms around me.
Do you find 18in with a suppressor is enough barrel to still shoot flat with a 22-250 ? What grain do you prefer to shoot? I’m wanting a 22-250 shorty but want something that still shoots pretty flat 0-250
An 18" 22-250 will easily have a MPBR of 250 yds... Easily.
@@ONEILLOPS thank you What twist rate do you recommend for 55gr billets or right around that weight?
@@mrsmith4878 u would be fine with a 12 to 14 twist.
I have a 7mm STW in a Sendero--let's go shooting!
“Not supposed to talk about that” hahaha
Badass gun I think that’s my next gun 22-250 or 233 more fur friendly then my 243
22-250 blows coyotes to bits lol it all depends on shot placement in my opinion
@@hardthornedoutdoors7961 I’ve heard guys say that too lol I haven’t decided yet I might go with an odd ball round like 6mm arc
@@ryryk6977 I’ve been shooting them with 6.5 and honestly haven’t damaged them too terrible. Even my 25.06 doesn’t blow them up if you hit them right... I’ve heard good things about the 6mm on em though.
@@hardthornedoutdoors7961 yeah my buddy shoots coyotes with a 25 creed doesn’t do near as much damage as my 243 dose so I’m thinking about going the 6mm
I want one!
Can you elaborate on someone like myself with a budget of 3k on the Thor 4 thermal scope. Any thoughts?
Ya... Save your money, when you have 4-6K to spend come talk to me.
@@ONEILLOPS ok...you have my attention and respect from what I can see you know what your talking about. Just curious what would you build out of 4k?
I do want to stay totally USA built if possible.
@@technoben777 If you want Made in the USA your options are limited, so is your price point. You'd be looking at a Trijicon Unit or an NVision unit. Both of which will be over 7K, starting for a weapon sight, and significantly better image than ATN offers.
@@ONEILLOPS Not really what I wanted to hear but going pure American I know is a stretch. Just like to know where mh money is going. I just need something that will go up to 500 yds and be mounted on a Bergara B14 HMR pro.
Do you still recommend the Banish 30?
I highly recommend what we use. The VAPR line of SRT suppressors!
@Mike Mac Yes we are an exclusive since we helped SRT design them. They are 1250.00 for the .224 and 6mm.
👍👍👍👍👍
How does a guy go about building a rifle like this?
👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩
The breach what??!?
Pulsar $6k
This Right here is why we have to protect the 2A because idiots who want to gear up and play hunter make people think All gun owners are like these morons....
Svelt supplements.
I'm Single 😍😥
Mod one xp50 is crap
Oh is this the channel where you play army and pretend to be in the military?
Was the second amendment the biggest mistake in american history??
