Jordan Klepper, who is guest hosting The Daily Show this week, draws upon his experience interviewing Trump supporters in assessing whether the massive Fox settlement with Dominion Voting Systems will penetrate the right-wing media bubble and what it would take to break the Republican base's allegiance to Donald Trump.

    • Hey, I love Klepper and all, but I just can't let calling him an "intellectual" slide. He's smart, entertaining, self-aware, and funny. But we need to actually make the distinction between our Jon Stewarts and our Noam Chomskys. 'Intellectual' is hyperbolic. We can't be a cult of personality. All that said, he's hilarious. And sharp.

Our media is just connected to our government by money and regulatory threat rather than direct state control.

Barr Testified no fraud was found and that Trump was delusional. What about the source of the fraud information? Is she a crazy person in other aspects of her life? Yes. She got the fraud information from a psychic. The fox hosts all texted she was crazy while they also sold the lie. Ok. But still, how do we prove it? Simple. If computers switched votes then the paper ballots would be show the real vote count before the computer switched them. So just do a hand recount. Have Republicans do the hand recount so they can see for themselves. If the count is the same, then the computer didn't switch votes. Easy. And then you know who is lying. And we do. $787,500,000.00

    • @@vejay369 By using rational, critical and skeptical thinking skills, where you don’t jump into believe something that doesn’t have good quality evidence behind it. You question claims with poor quality evidence and you don’t allow yourself to just seek out information that supports your point of view and ignore counter arguments. When you see Trump lying constantly, cheating on his wife, treating women like crap, disrespecting the disabled, the war veterans, acting like a narcissist constantly. Be suspicious when someone suddenly becomes religious and talking of his loveof God, when he never did before. Listen to GOP members that have refused to lie and cheat in the election for Trump, like Brad Raffensperger, who refused to “ find” 11,780 fake votes for Trump, etc. Getting more well read, as in Books, is always a good thing too, and weigh both sides of an issue even if you don’t like what you hear.

    • Exactly, Mr. Klepper nailed it, right on the head! DJT espousing his views to the world gave everyone permission to espouse what they had long held as truth. The things that people thought of & only whispered to like-minded people are now seen as mainstream. DJT, himself, said he loved the uneducated. Why? First & foremost, DJT is uneducated & stupid. His degree from Wharton, U Penn was bought & paid for. He didn't earn it. My Father was functionally illiterate, & he could hold a conversation with more insight than DJT ever could. Secondly, those who want the USA to remain status quo KNOW they can't compete with those who are unlike them. "The Others" have done what was necessary to prepare & have gone forth to make their mark in this country & the world. They, on the other hand, have sat back on their laurels & have expected & continue to expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter without earning any of it while keeping "The Others" down & in their place. Additionally, The Master Manipulators & The Con Artists pay to have their agendas thrown front & center in the media to keep all of us busy over here while they burn & pillage over there. Get Wise, people; We Are Being Played Like A Well-tuned Violin!
