A fully numbers matching K98 Mauser made in 1939. Appears brand new covered in Nazi proof and acceptance marks , a very rare bird indeed.

Brand New, just threw away the stock and handguard and rear sight. Replaced the front sight, drilled a bunch of holes in the receiver, ruined the bolt handle. Other than that, brand new!
Completely untouched, then came bubba
Believe me, it's been touched. Still a nice rifle though.
Looks like the front sight is a replacement. The bolt handle looks like. It was revamped. Still undoubtedly a high quality action!
Its a reworked military action in a sporter stock and its been refinished so probably worth about $500. The safty needs to be changed to a Winchester model 70 design so that it will work with a scope. Not a particularly valuable rifle but to the unschooled it does look nice.
I spoke to the son , he said he only changed front sight, added bases and new wood. I’ve been buying k98s since the 80s at the Tulsa gun show and have seen them all . This one’s special, waffen ss marked zero flaws and it’s a bring back, no arsenal refinish because no added marks
@@H20Ducksounds like every kar98k seller I’ve ever heard. “I tell you hwhat he only done changed the stock and scrubbed the action, this thang is untouched super rare nazi waffen SS rifle Mauser super rare they ain’t making no more of them that’s for dang sure.” Come on dude, it’s a sporterized kar98K, it’s already lost 80% of its value.
Are you high?
Damn, someone really wasted a very rare rifle.
There was thousands of those rifles after the war. They weren’t rare at all back then. Only today are they becoming rare.
@@user-js5ci6bu4k I can remember when you could get Milsurp rifles in the Montgomery Ward stores in the 60s and 70s, most were $50 or less...
@@user-js5ci6bu4k I'm old, and I remember when you could get anything milsurp for 50 dollars. Everyone from Montgomery Wards to Western Auto had racks of nice ones in stores and the catalogs. Swedish Mausers for $50, Carcanos were $20 or less....
Disgusting what bubba did to it.
SIN DUDAS UN ARMA PARA CONCURSO,EXCELENTE
Bubba did 1000s of those. They were $12 at surplus stores. But it was done well.He forgot the bolt handle was bent also. GI Joes had drums full $12 with. a hand full of shells. Everyone cut then off back then. I did many myself. That’s how it was in the 1960s
Good looking gun!
👍👍👍👍
Military mausers weren't finished and blue like that. Bolt handle modified to clear scope
👍👍👍
Its awesome. I would get rid of those ugly bases and replace with steel good ones and a rear sight, or leave it bare with filler screws. Or even a peep. Do you have any backstory ?
Bring back , the son changed the stock, changed out the ladder sights for that sporter front sight the bases. Had to have came from an armory.
Beautiful
than other option is it was presented as gift to some officer as gun for hunt and was just not using it ,,
I know the man whose father brought this back from World War 2. He picked it up in a warehouse in Germany.
Touch by in human hands
More like re done ……. And reworked……. All the value gone.
Still butchered, sorry sportarized isnt my thing
And it is said, they who bastardize a good rifle, hath blasphemed before the weapons God and shall be punished. Absolute waste.
WOW, I can't help but wonder what that might bring at a motivated auction? Any guess?
It sat on the table thru 3 garage sales at $600 .
@@H20Duck DUDE! 👍
A hell of a lot LESS than it would have if they had any sense.
OR REFURBISHED BY PRO
Nope, read the description on what I found out about the rifle
Everyone gets a old gun and think they got a special weapon. It’s a sporty Mauser I got 1 just like it.
Still has history on it, and the fact it came from where it did, when it did is pretty incredible.
Just like it, so all numbers matching …unused . Kind of doubt it.
Everywhere you look you can kick a bush and 10 experts will fall out. I ain’t an expert in any way ,but think it’s a pretty sweet rifle no matter what all the pros say.
I’ve been a K98 fan since the 70s… it’s one of the finest examples I’ve ever seen and I went to every Tulsa Gun Show (biggest in the world) for over 30 years. I’ve seen them all twice now it seems👍🏻
Found out the backstory on this rifle. It was brought back from Germany world war 2. It had to have been picked up in an armory. The son put a new stock on it and Replaced the military sights. Otherwise untouched
It’s not “ brand new”” . Nobody knows specially in the US if these “ Stamps “ are original. One can buy these punches everywhere!!!
You’re an idiot

Bubba special. Selling NAZI memorabilia bubba'd. A real sporter would have a sporter barrel and be fully done. A NAZI K98 would be all original. Those would be worth money. But an estate sale bubba sporterized Mauser ~$150 - $250. You have to understand that it has to be a Griffin & Howe/Merkel class style of sporter by a renowned gunsmith to be worth some money. Otherwise, it's got to be original military. Bubba guns aren't worth much.
