Actually, I talked to my lawyer (I'm from Germany) and when you trade something and there is no Cash Flow, you don't pay any taxes. I asked him jokingly... haha can I trade a phone for a house or what? hahaa Him: Looks at me dead serious... If you find someone, yes. So you actually should ALWAYS trade if you can, Car for Car etc.
In the US when you sell a car privately you write how much you sell it for on title. You can write whatever you want. Meaning lots of times people just write like $100 or something. And you’d legally allowed to give “gifts” to people tax free each year. So he could still sell it for however much, then say he only sold it for x amount (way less), and both he and the guy buying it save on tax. If they wanted to do it that way

Technically yes if they pay you for x amount and you write that you sold it for less. However you could get around it because there’s a maximum amount of $ you can give as a gift per year tax free. I forget the amount but let’s say it’s 20k. Say Miz wanted to sell his car for 180k. The buyer would give Miz 180k, but say hes buying the car for 160k, and that he gave Miz a tax free gift of 20k

Save yourself the money. Maintenance on those will be crazy considering they're one off and Lamborghini can charge whatever they want. Also you cant guarantee resale will increase or at least maintain at its price. Since the R8 production has ended and you have the V10 demand will increase as time goes by. Keep it.
