An overnight camping trip in old UK Woodland. The high winds in the UK have stopped in time for a quick overnight camp before the national lockdown. There was no rain forecast so I left the tent fly at home. The plan was to keep things relatively simple so I can relax most of the day. You're only seeing the parts of the day where I was doing something. Much of the day was spent reading a book and in the evening making the Kuksa blank.
It was 4℃ with a very light breeze and I'm camped in my favourite local woodland campsite called Blaydon Burn Farm. I hope you enjoy it and that you're safe and well wherever you are.
I don’t use a lighter to start the fire! I find it fun to light fires without one. I have plenty lighters in the car. Я не использую зажигалку, чтобы разжечь огонь! Мне весело разжигать костры без него. У меня много зажигалок в машине.

  • I walk past this Jimny every day with my two dogs and absolutely love what he is doing with it. It looks even better in the flesh. The camping is so well organised and shot brilliantly. Definitely something I intend to do someday.

    • You’re bang on! Time alone outside. Hiking, camping, whatever… it’s never failed to give more than it’s taken. If anyone is worried they’ll get bored alone, take a piece of wood to carve something (doesn’t matter what), or a book, or just stare into the fire. It’s an incredible reset button.

    • I’m Lucky to be close by a natural campsite like this. They’re very rare in the UK, unless you do it illegally. Responsible Wild camping isn’t too bad but certainly less easy to do with a car. :)

" - Same sentiments here, though i'd like to add - its cuteness factor closed the deal for me. Great video! Best enjoyed watching while at home on quarantine. I also like camping alone, but look forward to the times my husband is able to join me. Looking forward to when this pandemic is over and enjoy being outside again =)

As it's an awesome car from Japan I try my best 😅w. It's fun to carve a Kukusa I think you'll enjoy it. It's an excellent camping pastime.
