When I was small child (early 2000s) my cool uncle, who had a lipstick red 1986 Porsche 911 3.2. Coupé, used to take on an evening cruse on the German Autobahn during summer. He was an absolute Miami Vice and frankly mentally still stuck in the late 70s and 80s. He used to play this song, while sun was flooding the sky in orange, and just put the foot down. This song in this car at >250k/mh on an empty street was something I will never forget these drives, especially the moment when you left the Autobahn, there were fewer wind noises, while still being on the high of speed with Laura Branigan from the radio, gave my a feeling I never felt again after.

I was born in 82. I love the 80's but my memories of it are very cloudy. All I remember was being a very happy child surrounded by happy care free people and great music. To enjoy the 80's you would need to be born at any point in the 60's. I am a tad jealous of people born in the late 60's (67-69). They had the best of any generation and would have grown into a teen in the 80's when you are at your most impressionable and soaking everything up like a sponge. Must have been so exciting. It was a time when everyone was looking forward to the future backed by a unbelievable soundtrack.

I wish Rockstar would create "Miami Vice" the game or Miami City etc and stick back to the 80s-90s supercars, maps, buildings, roads etc.of Miami but with graphics, architecture and smooth gameplay of today....Even have the option to be either a gangster or a police/law officer (like in the Miami Vice series). It would be a game for the young to learn and the old to remember and be nostalgic......I think many would love it,especially those who adore Vice city and have watched the series as well....

@grisharotov97354 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, a game like that is likely to never happen. While there was a game for the movie back in the day, a game based on the original series is less probable than someone winning the lottery. Mostly because people hardly make TV Show games, and most of the folks who watched back in the day, unless they've been playing games for a good few years, aren't likely to pick up a system or a copy of the game. Plus, one has to wonder how much of the cast would be willing to reprise their roles. A man can dream though.

The 80's was the last decade of heroes and men who stood up for honor and pride. I'm not sure if there will ever be another decade like it, but it probably won't come while I'm still breathing. But I'll hold out faith. I'm in my mid 40's.... Time will tell. But I don't think I'll be making it much through my 50's or 60's, so the time is wearing a little thin for me. GTA Vice City has forever changed my taste in music
80s will never be forgotten 😭. The Decade Of Fantastic Music.
But it will slowly fade away.. Unless we take actions to bring disco fever and funky colors back. I would definitely open an 80s, no Phone, old clothes disco

THE 80s were the best period! (sorry if my english is bad, i'm an old french...) I actually have a lot of 80s VHS tapes of when I passed my holidays at Miami and Orlando in 1983... pepole were living a great life.
When I recall back to the 70s, 90s and 00s, the memories are gray ... but when I think of the 80s its always in neon colors glowing everywhere ... thats why it never feel sad and depressing when going back to 80s memories, its always comforting and swoonful ...

Miami Vice, Literally a series that was ahead of it's time. What an era. The nostalgia is real man. Been re-watching the entire series these past months, and what a time. Don't think any show can come close too it these days. Sad that the era, is long past. Iconic storyline, themes, instrumentals, characters and so much more. Legendary.
Well ahead of it's time, absolutely brilliant.
The fashion is so good, always love a good 80’s Miami show
Lived through this. My gosh, 😢 so many lost during those times. Not easy, love the fact the band just "the show must go on". 😅
"Self Control" is a song by Italian singer Raf, released in 1984. It was written by Giancarlo Bigazzi, Steve Piccolo and Raf. The song was covered the same year by American singer Laura Branigan.

Best 80s music was 84-87. You would have been born 10 years earlier.
Graduated HS in 85 then college 90. Fond memories of the music and the night clubs of this special decade.
The 80's were the greatest. Miami Vice was and still is a cultural phenomenon. Millions of us looked forward to it on Friday nights. Every so often I watch some of these videos which bring back so many wonderful memories of life in the 80's.

Some of the greatest music ever and one of the greatest television shows ever! I was in my mid-teens when "Self Control" by Laura Branigan and Miami Vice hit the airwaves. There has been a lot of great songs and videos since, but there's just something special about Crockett, Tubbs and that amazing Ferrari coupled with Laura's amazing voice.
Beautiful lady with the golden voice. Passing well before your time. Rest In Peace. Perfect song for Miami Vice.

Man that takes me back to 1984 riding around in my z28 wishing it was a Ferrari, but I still got the chicks. I spent 2016-2020 in Florida and my sales area was the entire state. Cruising the blvd in my Black Q40 was fun, but in my 50's now... No one knew Miami like a child of the 80's. It was truly as great a decade as people thought it was.p

Been waiting for such a game ever since I first played Vice City!
Last gta info says that the next game will take place in a new vice city travel through decades 80-90-00-10's
Let's hope they don't mess it up like GTA V...
