Equal touches - keep them fresh. You know how hard they go in the 4th when everyone else is worn down and they are still churning like its the beginning of the game?! Smart to have them share the load…and wealth
They are both RB 1 imho. They are a great tandem and they should keep it that way.
We didn't see it much at all last year but i think split gun with them both in the backfield would be a deadly formation for them. Imagine gibbs lined up on the same side of the field with st brown in the slot and jamo out wide on the same side. Thats a lot of pressure on the defense on one side of the field. Oh and on the back side, you got your all pro TE and your other stud back just in case
In this case, they're honestly both number 1. They're both so good that I don't feel like it's productive to have the conversation. One's gonna get injured and the other will put in the work. Also the rest of our running backs are solid. I've got a lot of love for Reynolds. We all saw that block. He put em DOWN. Let's go. Hahaha our running game is so good. I can't wait. Can't fuckin' wait for next season.
The end of last year was a great formula for them almost equal snaps. Just depends on defense being played
I agree with the comments so far. Most important keep both backs fresh and keep that Defense guessing. Use the speedy ones as Decoys once in a while.
Going into year 2 I can see Ben Johnson having more plans for both of our Boyz.

Don't sleep on Vaki. A 3 headed monster who each bring something to the table. Fresh legs to ware down the D. I just hope they call more runs in the 2nd half. Blew a 17 point lead in AFC championship game. Better to go 3 and out running the ball and grinding time off the clock than go 3 and out on 3 incomplete passes stopping the clock between plays.
Remember when Jahvid Best was the only healthy RB on our team and he was running the ball all 3 downs. It doesn't work, what works is what we have right now, Monty doing the dirty work, Gibbs who can run and catch, and even have them both of them back there together. I think first downs you have Monty back there and thats not a knock on Gibbs, it's just the smart way to use your backs.
I would luv for gibbs be number 1 rb bt just cause I will like him to be a starter dnt mean nothin if he want to start he gt to earn it
I wouldn’t change a thing.
Keep it how they had it, Monty the work horse punishing them and then hit em with a fresh Gibbs to finish em off. Gibbs obviously needs more touches this season but If Gibbs stays fresh he's a threat every play so keep it the same how it was late in the season.
If Gibbs was the lead back and not a time share he would be the best RB in the league! But I agree the best thing for the team is to have them both getting equal touches. In a perfect world Gibbs would get 250 + touches with 1500 rushing yards but it’s a more efficient offense with Gibbs and Monty both getting touches!

I can see gibbs and LaPorta playing a few snaps at wr3 per game since those two are better wr than most NFL wr

Gibbs doesn't need to be Starter necessarily THIS year. Montgomery's in his second year of a three year contract. 65/35 Monty and Gibbs unless it's obvious passing down. It helps to keep Gibbs healthy, and you don't have to wear the tread off #26's tires immediately.
He can have drops when he can pick up 3rd and 10 on the ground

Usage wise? Depends on the game, the opponnet, teh situation.... The RB1 is whoever fits the play best suited to be run at that moment.
When you are very close to having two 1k rbs, they both the 1.
I think rb one is gubbs but i think you start games with Montgomery and finish them with gibbs

I like the way you think. He is electric as can be, and he just scratched the surface last year. Now that he's used to the speed of the game, he's going off all year. I will not be surprised at all if he goes for 2000 all-purpose yards and about 20 TDs this year. He's special
