@@cameronsnyder1246 I know. Just cracking a joke. Even my ankle sprain kept me out of the gym for a week, and I couldn't do any stand up wrestling for a month. I couldn't imagine how f'd up my leg would be after virtually everything below the hip was torn apart.

Broken ankle, mcl, acl, and meniscus... Basically his entire leg below the hip was destroyed. He'll probably be out of competition entirely for a year, he can still have a career , but his knee will most likely never fully recover.

Mikey should of known he wasn't gonna tap out and should of went for a neck earlier. If you feel the guy has no more ligaments and he hasn't tapped. Then switch to a choke. Those can sleep them. Some people don't feel pain.

In professional fighting it is your own responsibility to defend yourself. It's not your opponent's responsibility to protect you. Mikey did what he should have done. Gantumur should have tapped.

That's not quite how it works... Depends on the position. Look at Mikey's legs, he's defending them while reaping his opponent's knee (increasing pressure on the joint and making the heel hook more effective).

Maybe in this EXACT situation that might work, but that's only because the mongolian guy didn't care at all about his own knee and Musemeci would have likely tapped in order to not ruin his career. And that's only if you think the mongolian guy would have actually been able to lock in the leglock without Musemeci being able to escape....... 99% of the time you don't counter a locked in leglock with one of you're own because in the meantime your knee would be pulverized.
