  • People always say the French are arrogant and rude, but I found them to be quite polite when I visited from Australia. Especially the way they would usually make some attempt to mask their horror and quickly switch smoothly from their native tongue into English, in an effort to stop me from continuing to butcher their language with my 2-terms-of-high-school-back-in-1995 level of pronunciation, shockingly confused verb tenses and crazily mixed up masculine/feminine nouns.

    • And here's me thinking, "I wonder how @NewMessage has been doing, I haven't seen them comment on KZhead lately. I hope they're taking care of themselves, getting enough to eat, that kind of thing." Only to see you condoning this tired kind of American bashing. I mean we deserve it, but I somehow expected better out of you.

  • The people of Vanuatu are "up to their knees in water". I've always put Vanuatu as my country of residence when asked on the internet. They seem to have few content prohibitions and no one would find me if they started looking there.
