Ashton Kutcher was hired as Walden Schmidt, a billionaire who buys Charlie's house after his death.

Once Charlie was booted off the show, it ended for me.
Yeah.
Me too
Same. It went to shit after he was given the boot. I mean they replaced him with the guy who played Michael Kelso for crying out loud.
Well, it's a show about Charlie Sheen. Like, a biographic show. You can't replace him.
Ashton coocher is his own man. He changed the course of the show
Not Ashton's fault. Charlie was the show. He was irreplaceable.
It was his fault he didn't fit the role, it would be like putting Pee-wee Herman in instead of Charlie ! 🤪👉🚩
It's like taking Will Smith out of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, it's not gonna work.
I can’t watch after season 8. I think this is the best way to put it. Never was Ashton’s fault but Charlie was never meant to be replaced
@@maxcady6915 That show really did truly suck, so not the same league but yeah I can see why you say that.
@@Jumblepod same here. I wouldn’t lie if I tell I never saw any episode after 8th serie. Barely was able to see some part here and there randomly and I couldn’t watch it anymore. It’s no coincidence Charlie Sheen is playing under his name. Heck, he probably not needed to act at all, he WAS Charlie.
The show was built for Charlie and Alan that’s why it’s was so effortless for them and their chemistry was unmatched. Berda, Rose, Jake and Evelyn were the icing to the cake.
The glue that held the show together and why it was so funny was the relationship between the two brothers bring total opposites and their common disdain for their mother, Shakespeare already knew opposites work in a play. Walden was an outsider and entered the show like an elephant in a crystal store... He was great as Kelso and I read sas Steve Jobs but he was not meant to be for this show which was successful Charlie who made money without apparently lifting a finger versus hard working do goody Allen who got nothing out of life... those opposites where the key of the show... and their common bond as brothers against their mother.... That's why it worked and was funny...
Well it was about a dysfunctional family with a sarcastic housekeeper; so of course Ass-ton ruined it by Chuck Lorre trying get his revenge on Sheen with someone "better" than Charlie Harper; but he was boring as a country of accountants.
I'd add Judith as well
@@vijayiyer8518 Right...her role should not be underestimated and she too played it to perfection so everybody loathed her....
Rose was the worst main character
No matter how hard they tried, no matter how good Ashton was, no matter how excellent the screenplay or story was... CHARLIE MADE THIS SHOW WHAT IT WAS!
The main thing that made the show was the bond between the two brothers, one the successful one and the other the loser in a way for whom nothing ever went well despite his good will and good intentions. I had to study Shakespeare in my early school years in Europe for a lecture with Q & A I had to give in literature class and I think so did the writers of the show because there are a lot of traditional Shakespeare elements in the story, i.e. opposites make for funny situations... together with love, romance, envy and jealousy...
@@EagleOneM1953 Oh Wow!!! Thanks for this info... never really thought of it that way but it does make a lot of sense “OPPOSITES MAKE FOR FUNNY SITUATIONS” I’ll remember that.
@@MrSkillz91 It's a leading theme in most of Shakespeare's plays and why he was so successful and considered the founder of drama....
Alan is highly underrated in this show. He should have gotten best supporting actor awards each year this show was on the air. I never watched it until reruns with my new girlfriend (well not really new but who cares lol) and I can’t get enough of it. Best comedy show on TV and hasn’t been a good one since. I mean All In The Family was my favorite but this is right there. So much they couldn’t get away with in todays sad, pathetic woke culture. Hate to use that word but you know what I mean.
@@BrianPex I 100% agree with everything you said!!
Charlie is The Best Character Edit: Ma, soy famoso XD
Yup, it sucked
@@Beep_Boop937 with Walden it sucked
I'm finally watching the whole show after all these years. I actually didn't start watching till Charlie Sheen was fired. I'm starting to understand why everyone's mad.
Me too
Yes, Charlie was the show!!
Charlie Sheen couldn't be replaced. It truly was a role for him ( womanizing, drinker, talented etc)
Charlie just played himself...that's why he was so good
@@sakabula2357Thats what good casting is. Every actor has that role that is extremly like him or her
No one cares
The series wasn't the same without Charlie.
WELL DUH
I've never heard that opinion before. Your analysis is so deep and original. Good thing you posted this. Otherwise, we would never have known.
the show sucked with the other guy.
@@3roxxxy Much like your comment.
Wasn’t same? It ended and they started new “Walden show” I don’t know why the used the same name.
From what I've read about Charlie Sheen, he's not really playing a character here! He's just being himself!😆
And probably the reason he got into a clinch with Lorre and neither remained professional enough to not kill the golden goose... not even for half a million per episode or whatever they were making. Stop being a jerk for once... eat your pride and behave for once... guess it's hard to do when you're a jerk...what a shame.... Something I never understood. Where do these networks get that much money to pay their stars that much per episode, considering there are more than 2... same for Frasier and the other good sitcoms...
It was basically a documentary about his life
@@EagleOneM1953 i understand the issue was that one time he referred to Lorre by his real name (Levine) and Lorre considered that antisemitic. Luckily for Charlie, Lorre still had to pay him his full contract. With Kelso, the series really 'jumped the Shark' with bringing in yet another lost illegitimate daugther (who ofcourse was lesbian) and Bertha moving in.
@@EagleOneM1953 charlie was paid his full contract
@@Ed19601 Thanks for telling me, I never knew what the issue was why Lorre got so pissed at Sheen. So, a long toes issue.... Very unprofessional if you ask me but now that I know he is Jewish it explains a lot.... Still, very unprofessional from both but it seems most of the blame for killing a great sitcom goes to Lorre... who screwed himself by having to pay Sheen even after he left or was told to go...
My favourite was the Satanic girlfriend. Alan suggesting they escape to the Vatican was hilarious 😂
The fact she freaked Berta out was the best part. Haha
@@ThatGuyNick369 Their mom knew her was funny too
Soooo be it 😂
Charlie's Mom shutting her down was priceless.
Nobody could mess with Evelyn 😅
Charlie was the soul of this show❤️
There was no funnier girlfriend moment than when Charlie dated that woman who looked and acted exactly like his mom.😂 What made it even funnier is that he was the only one who couldn’t see it until he met her two sons. 😂
Catherine as Lydia. She was a hoot. April and Courtney were also terrific.😂
Lidia??
@@jelenajelenic9069 Catherine La Nasa played Lydia 😅
@@williammitchell4417 thanks
So damn true lmao exactly like his mom...like Berta said...the only difference between those two broads you came out the one and going in the other 😂

Always the best shows with Charlie in them, the chemistry between them all, was unbelievable 👏 😍 the reruns never get old! 🤣💯🤣
Charlie & Berta made the show. I could watch them forever. RIP Berta.
"They're real, and they're spectacular." Wrong show, I know. But wow, Terri Hatcher rockin' that dress.
And no one would've been mad if she said that same line on this show

Sheen made this show !!! The chemistry between all of them was perfect !!
I loved that scene of alan acting like candy
My favorite Alan scene is when he explained Booty Call to Jake
Candy was the most funniest of all the women on the show. Excellent acting made me laugh and forget problems in life for a bit.
Kandi's acting was over the top, the only reason she was watchable was because she had a terrific body 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@keithbannister9271She was deliberately playing an idiot. Pretty sure she was told to do it that way.
Aww I loved Charlie. He was the show.
Charlie was the best
No he wasn’t.
Charlie sheen is a legend I'd love to sit just smoke a cigar with him and have a beer
I love when he yells at Mia at the restaurant when he kept trying for change him

"I thought it was regular tension" LMAO
All the characters were great but Charlie made the show
Denise Richards's character's daughter, played by Sam Sheen, is actually her and Charlie Sheen's real-life daughter.
YES,THAT WAS I WANT TO SAY!DENISE RICHARD'S HAVE TWINCE WITH CHARLY.IF I'M WRIGHT.WITHOUT GOOGLING
Really? I didn't know that.... nice to know... I'm not into blondes but Denise Richards is pretty and could get my attention for more than a minute...
Never the same without Sheen
Loved the show, with Charlie of course.
Charlie was the soul. Didnt even watch it after he was gone.
Charlie was the whole series without him I wouldn’t watch it
Replacing Sheen with Kutcher was like replacing 8-hour slow cooked demi-glace rich beouf sauce with...well, ketchup.
Greatest show ever made !!
The laughter left with Charlie
Charlie was in my opinion irreplaceable! Also I think Jon Cryer was underrated because he was so darn funny and I don't think he got all the credit he should have.
I had higher hopes for Duckie in life. Wish he could have kept his hair.
@@johndurrett3573 lol to funny
I agree, Jon is a much underrated actor, especially in this sitcom. Most scenes he was in were funny because of him. Who else can play righteous indignation like he can. Trying to keep himself restrained with all the cropped up anger when he again gets the lid on his nose as we say in Belgium... allow me to repeat.... I studied Shakespeare in the 1970s for a lecture I had to give about him in literature class and this series had all the classics of a Shakespeare play... love, envy and especially antagonists, opposites... the successful brother in contrast with the trying so hard but getting nowhere other brother... and don't forget the one in between, the mother who both resented for a reason we could only guess. With Kutcher replacing Sheen all that disappeared and it became a totally different show. Kutcher is not to blame, he's a good actor in his own right and maybe deserved a sitcom of his own... Blame Lorre and Sheen for being so stuck up and unprofessional for not setting aside their egos. I read Lorre was mad at Sheen because Sheen had called him by his real name which is Jwish, And knowing Sheen there may have been some anti semitism that went along with it... For us fans sad it had to end this way... but we still have KZhead to watch the reruns...
@@EagleOneM1953I'm pretty sure Charlie was pissing off the cast as well. When he was on Anger Management he got Selma Blair kicked off.
Don't put the blame all on Chuck Lorre.
it was going great then ashton kutcher entered the picture and it all went down hill
This was one of Teri's best appearances EVER, a bit of revival of her "Sidra Holland" in Seinfeld. Her facial expression and ... OMG her legs!! Also, her look is plausible as Judiths sister. It's a pity they never used her character again. and Alan mimicing April at 5:50!!! Priceless! The show worked out pretty much ANY archetype of women, available today and the top 10 of them of the male fans for sure says a lot about society. PS: No 1 bedroom eyes: Deanna Russo.
Charlie's shirts and his wardrobe style the best.
Judith: I will rock his world alan! I swear! at 2:22 lol
I'm surprised Charlie turned her down. Judith ain't bad looking.
Highest paid per episode Sitcom Actor for a reason Legend Charlie sheen
'Charlie, at your mother's wedding?' 'Yeah!?' :DD
You missed Charlie messing up with Alan's Attorney
The problem with that episode is that it was too predictable. Anyone with half a brain knew how it was going to end.
Charlie was the show. It ended after Season 8. Even Angus Jones told us to stop watching the show.
Yeah that was because he was very religious at the time
@@michaelcollins2030 is he still religious?
@@Rizu-kc3ze I don’t think he as religious as he was before now
Charlie Sheen was Two and a Half Men. No point in watching it after he was gone.
Reruns are great cuz charlie is still in them
After a few episodes with Kutcher it gets better. Charlie is still the best. Too bad he got back into alcohol and drugs and got booted off.
I love how Alan's spine just kinda curls up and crawls away everytime he has a run in with his ex...
Alan never had a spine throughout the whole show. Nothing but a mooch.
It's called alimony....

Charlie is the greatest comedian ever
Terri Hatcher, great actress, talented!
Walden:"I wish I could say the same thing."☠😂🤣😅
Judith: Come on, I've seen you looking at my chest. at 2:15 lol
Hey,I'm a guy.🤣🤣🤣
She had a great rack.
My favourite Woman characters on this show were , Mia, April, Megan Fox’s & Denise Richards! All beautiful in their own ways!
This is a show that should have never ended
@Reginald Wilson It wasn't the same but it wasnt bad either. I enjoyed both runs with Charlie and Ashton. The problem with Walden is they made him too perfect and wrote him really fast at times but it wasn't bad. I feel like Charlie ran his course with writing and Walden was getting there but you could always find ways to bring new characters or finally give Alan the house and have someone new live with Alan. The show had unlimited potential
@@MysticLegacyTV Ashton was never believable in any form of acting.
Every show ends no matter how good it is. Reason being they run out of plots after awhile. The show was already running out towards the end of Charlies rein. As an RGamer my guess is you are on the younger side. Back in my day MASH was the best show on TV. It was a 12 yr run covering a 3 yr war. They sucked ever plot out of it they could. some were quite ingenious. There was one were hawkeye had his hand in a guys chest holding his aorta together with a time clock ticking waiting for a transplant aorta. Ridiculous on a battlefield MASH unit. But it was done so well it was amazing. Sorry I went off on a tangent. Point being all good things come to an end.
@@writerconsidered I agree with most of what you wrote however the Simpsons seems to defy this.
Actually should have ended at season 8 with Charlie smothering Alan and going to jail or an asylum. Would have been hilarious.

Charlie and Jake Moments were my favorite
The show died once Charlie got replaced...Allen was awesome too
That intro with little Jake is nostalgic at the best. So many memories of rolling a joint before the show started.

charlie never returned the call of producers i think 🤣
This montage shows the vast difference BK (Before Kutcher) and AK (After). Much funnier in the Sheen era.

Fuck I miss this show so much...right up there with The Office. Keep me laughing and laughing ... :D
they should have just paid Charlie enough to finish the last season he was in and then just ended the show...it was over the minute he left
Yeah when Charlie got the boot so did the show he made that show a classic
2:20 highly underrated yet simple line from charlie sheen
The last line was the best!
Charlie is very handsome and a great actor he never loses his looks
It was never the same when Charlie left
Ashton acted the script he was given fine. Doesn't deserve hate IMO
Ashton Sucked, He’s A Horrible Actor.
Exactly. People give him too much crap. Sure, it wasn’t as fun as it was with Charlie and he simply wasn’t cut for the role, but he was far from bad.
