5 years later: The idea of Stannard out-sprinting GVA is ridiculous!

Great vid as usual, however I think you missed the biggest tactical mistake in the race. Terpstra didnt cooperate in the break with Boason Hagen and Boom because he thought Boonen and Stybar were still in the chasing group (no radio coms during this race). If he had known they dropped because of the cold (or whatever excuse the belgians make up when Boonen doesnt win a race) they would probably have made it to the line.

Literally jumped with joy when I saw you posted this video, like others this was fantastic and I look forward to some more 'How The Race Was Won'. If this race didn't challenge people's 'MEH' to road season starting I don't know what else will!

Nice work, Cosmo. I like the Stannard foreshadowing. Mayhap we will get motifs, controlling metaphors, Deus ex machina, and the like? You deliver awesome commentary and your t-shirt collection isn't too shabby, either.

Definitely Van Avermaet. Phinney was in the mix, riding as a support and/or a second option. Once GVA was up the road, he rested in the bunch in the bunch and won the sprint for 6th.
