The time period was in 1920s so it was still India and has nothing do with Pakistan because it wasn’t born yet. Please we don’t need any Pakistani actors or actresses we have more than enough talent in India.

I didn’t like the series. Saw 4 episodes fully and stopped midway by episode 5. Only stayed that long for the visuals. It became insufferable beyond that, especially that Alamzeb character. Courtesans fighting over patrons got annoying too.

Pakistani role? Why the hell are you Pakistanis so delusional? There wasn't any existence of Pakistan back then nor there was any mention of Pakistan in the Series. Just because coincidentally, Lahore happens to be within geographic territory of Pakistan that doesn't make the characters Pakistanis.

Cringe urdu and trying to be poetic. If the roles were gives to those who can actually pronounce the khalis Urdu correctly. Bollywood thinks if we these actress will say the urdu words in dramatic way, it will feel real. But it sounds more cringe.

Bhansali is confusing Lahore with Hyderabad, Ouadh or Lucknow. Lahore has always been a Punjabi city. You guys are totally ignorant about Pakistani regions, its race, culture, languages, geography and ethnic make up. Please stick to subjects that pertain to India. Pakistani regions were part of British created India for less than 100 years, in its over 5000 years of history. Bharat is a lie concocted by Vivkenanda, Gwaliar, Arya Smaj, RSS etc schools of thought , in late 1800's. Under which all regions under British rule were hallucinated as one ancient Bharat that never existed. lol. No European, Russian, isreali, Japanese scholar, historian has ever verified the existent of Bharat. The term India was creation of Europeans for South Asian regions just like they created the word AFrica. It seems like Sanjay ne apni budsurraat neice ko promote kerne ke liya Netflix ko loot liya hai.
