F-35 lightning II, in this stunning display of speed & agility Pacific Airshow Huntington beach

Watch how Major Kristin Wolfe throws this F-35A Lightning II around and performs a falling leaf maneuver at 3:15 ( do you call that the falling leaf?) not sure really, but this is probably one of the best displays I'v seen from Wolfe! and the moisture in the air surly did help.

    • @@TheGraeme61 An F-35 was lost due to pilot error in the South China Sea. These are extremely expensive aircraft that we tax payers are getting stuck with the bill. It's an overly complicated plane that costs way to much and being flown by a military more concerned with virtue signalling than putting the best person forward. That's what I'm talking about. It's not directed against you but against those that are leading our forces.

I was told over the phone they do not release the names of the service members. Strange as I could tell the lady the names of the officers of that aircraft carrier! I don’t consider myself a female pilot, but a pilot that happens to be a female. In 20 years of aviation maintenance, working on the F-35 for the last 5 years is the greatest job I've had! Occasionally, when driving to work next to the airport (Naval Air Station) there will be an F-35 doing it's thing. If I can, and not be late, I'll pull over, park, and watch this incredible aircraft do what it was born to do. Sometimes I get inside & my co-workers say "I saw you bird-watching outside!" • I was taken by surprise by the very unusual sensation of momentary 'weightlessness' or very mild negative G (similar to the sensation you experience when driving over a humpedback road bridge at speed) when it was my first ride in a glider. It was a winch launch, and once the glider reaches the correct altitude, the pilot (my instructor) dips the nose in order to release the hook attached to the winch cable. It is during this nose dip that I experienced the unusual sensation of a very mild negative G. Very mild, but an unusual sensation nonetheless, and I was not expecting it! I did not feel nauseous, thankfully. Of course, the seasoned and expert glider pilots don't give it a second thought- they're very used to all the movements, G forces, turbulence, etc.

    • Very simple to fly and heavily computerized. They get F35 guys right out of flight school. They’re no better than any other US military pilots . The f35 pilot has to worry about weapons and sensors. They can’t have to worry about being superior pilots too. Smart kids but regular military pilots. I was on the F35 program for 8 years

  • Very cool footage of the F-35, and confirms just how nimble they are from my own observations. I'm in VT, and the Vermont Air National Guard has an air wing of F-35's. I was out in the middle of the woods doing some land surveying and kept hearing jet engines repeatedly circling over my head. I looked up and saw some fighter planes practicing the "falling leaf" maneuver over and over. It was so cool, I had my own personal air show. They were high enough where I couldn't positively identify them, but low enough where I could enjoy the show. I wondered if they might have been F-22's because they were flying over National Forest lands (we definitely have fighters from other states that come to train in VT), and I had no idea if the F-35 was capable of those kind of maneuvers...I'd say your footage confirms that yes, they were most likely the F-35's.

    • If you've watched both fighters enough, the Raptor's capabilities are more obvious, even from afar. That said, it's very cool that you got your own personal airshow!

      @ThePoorBoy@ThePoorBoy7 ай бұрын
    • @@ThePoorBoy Thanks! Yeah, my assumption would be the F-22 would definitely have the leg up in both maneuverability and speed. Haven't had the fortune of seeing one in action, I doubt they make it up to VT much, if at all...maybe for an air show, but we haven't had one in quite a few years. The F-35's are still relatively new to VT, the Air Guard got them only back in 2019. Over the years I got much more familiar with seeing the F-16's they replaced, so the F-35's capabilities are still a learning experience.

When playing with this thing in MSFS you get moments when you think "right, this can't be real" and then you see this video footage and it feels even more unreal. Like that controlled "fall" or the very low speed, high angle of attack climb other planes would stalled already seconds ago... Light, nimble, powerful and this edgerunning flight control system to allow almost anything. Wild.

  • With 30 years experience as an air show announcer who is also a pilot, I admire your video work. I also admire the F-35 but when it comes to true jaw-dropping agility, the F-22 Raptor is THE best. In the hands of a skilled pilot, it can pull off maneuvers the F-35 can only dream about.

    @billlowe6995@billlowe69957 ай бұрын
    • Finally someone with actual knowledge. The F35 is an overpriced failed pos that is always breaking down and crashing. There is a reason we sell these to the world, but the F22 Raptor is STILL banned from being sold to anyone on Earth. It eats the F35's lunch and takes its sneakers. Other countries jets don't even exist to the F22 Raptor, it kills them before they even know the F22 is in their airspace. And in a dog fight nothing can match it. Except the secret alien tech we have, which was used to create the F22 and to a less extent the F35.
