I think both voices suits her character, but in the english version they should have left the same lines, Peri sounds out of character with those lines in the english version. About her japanese voice, Peri is childish that's why she sounds like this.

I love how the retainers have a line they share with their lord (minus Sakura with Hana for some reason). "Onward" for Ryoma's. "Don't get cocky" for Takumi's "I won't lose" for Hinoka's "Sorry"/"Let's finish this" (I think) for Sakura's "On your knees" for Xander's "You can't run/escape" for Leo's "I'll play with you" for Camilla's "I'll beat you up" for Elise's Also, the child units also share some or most lines with their parents, something that also happened in Awakening.
Sakura, Subaki and Hana do share a quote, which goes something like, "Let me win." Sakura: 勝たせて下さい Subaki: 勝たせてもらうね Hana: 勝たせてもらうわ
While I personally do prefer some english voices over the japanese ones (Felicia for example), I do mostly prefer the japanese critical quotes for some reason. Dwyer being very high on my personal list of "Wtf are those english crit quotes", but that's just my opinion. Anyway, this is really awesome! Thank you so much

Ya know this probably sounds.... not nice... but I don’t know how else to say it... I feel like 50-75ish percent of female characters in Japanese dubs are all somewhat similar (to possibly my untrained ear?) and all share one thing in common.... and unbearably *high pitch* I don’t know why! It just seems like no matter who they are every female character in Japanese dubs I find all sound like they’ve been huffing helium or something! XD I feel like Persona Q2 was one of the few games where this was more or less absent.... (But Teddie was happy to fill the the void)

I'm normally pretty indifferent to vocal differences since I'm English speaking anyway, but many of the English VA's sound way more enthusiastic in their lines. Odin, Kaden, and Saizo stand out more in English. Except Reina. She sounds practically turned on in the JP version. It's a bit jarring, but fits her.
Mario Levan Kind of true, but that doesn't mean they didn't try to nail the voices for their corresponding character. Matthew Mercer did a phenomenal job with Ryoma, Shigure, and Azama. Other characters like Kaden, Azura, Soleil, Odin, Ophelia and female Corrin just straight up had the va that suited their personalities so well.

I do love both dubs, English just as much as japanese, but there's one reason why I like the Japanese dub a little more. It's called Daisuke Ono.
Daisuke Ono the voice actor of Kaze and Frederick but for me I prefer the Japanese Dub more because well I'm more used to it and the English Dubs are rather bland to me also Ougi is my favourite Crits Quotes of Ryoma and Shinonome/Shiro

Whoa, Ryoma has two Awakening references if you count both languages: You deserve(d) worse for Tharja in English, "Damn you" for Grima in Japanese. Also, Inigo's quotes are nearly the same as his Awakening criticals. Not to mention Robin uses ShadowofChaos725's favorite voice.

I really prefer japanese voice because of the "variety"... For me the english have a lot of units who have the same kind of voice... this make kinda boring. But when have a great english voice is really better than japanese's. I freaking loved Hinata's english voice... ;¬;
Eh, I don't really know. Some of the Japanese voices are miles better than the English ones (like Siegbert) but I can't stand some of the Japanese voices, mostly the higher-pitched squealing voices (although I actually like Sakura's voice in this case, which is an anomaly for me). Plus, I really don't like Charlotte's or Oboro's Japanese voice either. They just sound off. Although, I do agree that some of the English VA's totally nailed their character. Oboro's English voice was so great.

Charlotte supposed to be ass crazy, and English VA nailed the changed character. Not the original character, because personality are different... I hope Fire emblem decide to fire the localization team one day. (Although it won't happen) At the very least, I hope they retain same personality

I still dont get why people hate it, sure she sounds kinda too manly and her voice is too deep, but I still like her voice even in english (Though I must say, I do prefer some of the voices in japanese, Effie proooobably included, but than there are some that just don't fit imo)
The problem is not the voice, it's the execution (besides the character rewriting they did)

Sorry but if you say that you clearly dont know how different he is in english and japanese version, they completly butchered his personality and his main traits he had, basicly made him in death and blood loving maniac without purpose, doing it just "cause it is fun", in japanese he was nothing like it and he was actually rather nice character, Effie on other hand is still nice enough even in english, I am not saying she wasnt better in japanese, thats question of personal preference, but she is nowhere near Henry's lvl of screwing things up, and people that made awakening shown that they CAN make characters more interesting - Gregor - But what they did with Henry is kinda sad On other hand, Effie may be stereotype of devoted follower but it fits her role and I personally enjoy it

Sadly, no.... Kamui says things that are vastly different than the english version. (Azamuite yaru!) Revelations: You won't escape! (Nige tari shinai!) Unlike the English version, the critical quotes for the Japanese version alludes to the story and the choice that Kamui made. Birthright's quote highlights Kamui's absolute decision to side with his real family. Conquest's quote alludes to Kamui knowing Garon's influence and possibly the impact of his idealism. The fact that he felt Hoshido was deluded to Nohr's suffering. Revelation's quote reflect the fact that the true enemy is an invisible force that had escaped judgement during Birthright and Conquest. I will be honest, that the japanese quotes is not as epic and awesome as the generic battle cry chosen for the english version, but I think it would be more awkward if they say something like that. These quotes is fitting to the theme for the Japanese version which is less about the idea of "Fate" and more on "If you chosen this path".

I know why they did it, but they could've at least did us a favor and had a better quality dub. The dub of Fates is mediocre in comparison to Awakening.
+LionsAbyss only voices I didnt like in English in awakening was Olivia Krom Sumia Cordelia Severa Inigo Morgan (F) Gaia Lucina an Owain every one else was OK
i know what you mean. i prefer every jpn voice except oboro. she's my fave so maybe my expectations were too high but im still upset that she sounds like a crazy old witch
actually it think it was mostly because azura's japanese VA, did not want her voice released outside of japan...i think(probably wrong).
Where's the option to change voice language in Awakening? I can't seem to find it...
Jeez nothing beats the japanese voice overs.
Some of the translations are a bit inaccurate. I feel like they've been ripped from the FE:Fates dubbed.

azura and mozu ryoma takumi and kagero Xander and Camilla are COOL
Whether or not the voices are better, I prefer the text in the subtitles to some of the somewhat forced criticals we got.
The English dub has some highlights and some voices fit, but I do think Japanese voices are a lot better in most scenarios and I wish it was an option to change the language.
