In one episode dog's human partner got fucking killed and there was a heart-destroying scene with the dog bringing his toy to his partner/onwer's fucking dead body. In Russian cop-dog show, a human cop also gets smoked. And on Tequila and Bonnetti cop-dog show from USA, the human cop transferred from his previous department because in a shoot-out he accidentally killed a child. Cop-dog shows lull you in with a cute dog just to make you more vulnerable.

It's useful for getting more ammo when you're out. Plus, it's one of the coolest mechanics this game has and Matt practically ignored it.
