If I remember correctly the bad AI was the result of literally one line of code ending in the wrong number. Number, singular. And they never fixed it.
Been playing it with and without the fix, and I think it might have been deliberate. The game becomes damn hard with the fix applied. I guess they didn't have the time to completely rebalance the game, so they turned the advanced ai feature off for the aliens.

@@zackdelarosa14 it was legit a spelling mistake in the code, the AI is still kinda shit, but the fixed code is still an amazing improvement compared to what you'll get from the mispelled code
@@bloodprince9779 okay. The friendly npcs would get annoying with a mistake in the code let's say if they blocked doorways *cough cough Lydia. Unless the error caused the enemies to have invincibility and the like I'd say they are doing their job with/without the code being wrong
I actually liked the mp, story was meh compared to avp but the horde/infection PvP mode was fun.
@b7 he's done fire team and colonial marines so it'd be cool to see, always liked AvP but barely anyone played ranked on ps3 back in the day so I only had 2 or 3 of the skins wanted the web head one so bad.

When I was a kid this game was fucking amazing to me, Played the story and enjoyed every second of it. Replayed it over and over along with Alien vs predator (I never had online until recently) I had to replay games over and over until my parents would let me get a new game.
To tell you the truth, I don't think ACM is a bad game. It's actually surprisingly immersive.

I remember playing multiplayer in this as an alien. These two marine players killed me and one started tea bagging my body. Shortly after that, one of my teammates came behind the one tea bagging me and did a finisher on him. It was like a movie lol 😂

I got this game for Christmas years ago. While it wasn’t life changing, I think it’s a lot better than most people give it credit for.

I actually liked Colonial Marines. In my opinion it was a great game and I loved the pump shotgun. For a game on a budget they did the best they could.
Finally, a fellow person who liked it. For me as a big Aliens fan it was great to dive into this universe :D

This game is quite fun with Templar's mod. Fixes a lot of stuff and just makes it overall run better and.. well, somewhat functional. Definitely not a polished experience still, but it's good in coop

In the chase scene my buddy got ahead of me and kept welding the doors shut. So I was cutting and welding doors in absolute terror 😂

I found that the mp was super one sided for the Marines I always rampaged through the whole enemy team because I constantly used the motion detector
I honestly thoroughly enjoyed this game. I didnt experience any of the bugs or AI issues anyone said they got. The game aint the most polished but still had a lot of fun
I remember playing this game so much that I got max rank playing campaign on Ultimate Badass mode repetitively throughout my early teens because the game is simply way too easy on anything lower...I still enjoy the game to this day

I waited YEARS for this game to release. I was gonna buy it day 1 but had an unexpected thing I had to pay for a few days before so didn't have the spare cash for it. I was upset that I wasn't going to own it at release but I decided to rent it instead so I could at least play it. I had never felt so lucky to be broke in my whole life.
I remember someone was talking about this game the ended up saying “welcome to aliens colonial marines where the main enemy and one you fight the most are the humans” like yes because if I play an aliens game the people I want to fight the most are the humans not the actual aliens that are the title they also said "it's like buying a game called the bomb squad that's says it's a game about refusing bomb but you spend most of the game in a garden taking care of plants with the occasional bomb defusal " I also remember someone calling this “dollar general COD with occasional xenomorphs"

I love this game as a 13 year old no clue how to go about playing it. I remember just playing with random ass people right after the midnight release and having an abundance of fun moments and even in the multiplayer as the aliens. Though AvP 2009 is still far better

One of my friends and I used to play Realm of the Mad God, and I can't remember if it's the default binding or if we changed it, but we set the nexus key to 'F' so when we were low health, or if we noticed the other was low health, we'd just go, "I'm getting the F out/get the F outta here"
I remember playing this game when it first came out and I really liked. The mutiplayer was either great or unbalanced. When I got a new pc this was the first game I loaded since it was on sale, worked fine but couldn't get the dlc to ever work. Either way 7.5 outta 10 on the nostalgia scale.

Ah the hype. Probably the one & only time i preordered a game. I mean it came out after the great & fantastic Borderlands 2. How could it go wrong. Never really got fixed. 4 years after launch someone online found a misspelled line in a ini file or similar. "teather" was supposed to read "tether" & this had effects on the alien behavior. Of cause by then it was too late.

This game being dogshit is the reason why borderlands 2 was so great. Gearbox funneled money meant to go to this project to the development of BL2. It's sacrifice gave us one of the greatest looter shooters of all time.

I 🥰 the multiplayer of the game but there were problems with the AI. I 🥰 the customisation , and executions even the skills your alien can use, while marines had lots of options but I loved playing the alien faction. I hope they will bring back the the multiplayer.

I got this for Christmas 2013. For whatever reason it hated my TV so when playing split screen with buddies it wouldn’t show us our health or ammo. We had no idea how that we were meant to have that so just supposed lt was designed that way.
