XF Won't start even with a full battery. Battery was given a boost. Still had the same issue. Just makes a Click sound. Tried to start it at least 15x. Everything else worked.

Get to the point it's not about u it's about the car n how to fix it
Long story short, he sent it to a shop and they changed the starter. Edit: for me I also had the 1 click sound when I tried to start the car, but it did not while I still had power for the electronics. Jumping the battery did not work either. But I got a new battery and it worked great. Looks like my old battery had enough juice to keep the electronics running but not enough for ignition, battery was too poor a condition.

Mine won't start too, called roadside assistance. The guy changed the gear to neutral from park mode... He used some tools to do it. Once he was able to crank the engine, I gave it for comprehensive servicing...

Why
Having this issue, could mine possibly be the great shift module ? No crank , no start, but has power, car says gear box default. It’s a 2009 Jaguar xf supercharged. Any advice?
Yes is gonna be the gearshift module I’m going thru the same mine had said gearbox at fault and other signs battery warning sign but took it to the mechanic did the diagnostic and came back as gearbox module my gear knob wouldn’t go up so need to replace the gearbox I should get mine new one tomorrow so I’ll give you an update
Get to the point , it is a waste of time. At the end of the story, it is a starter motor guys.

Is gonna be the gear control module I’m going thru the same thing my gear knob wouldn’t go up all this light on my dashboard gearbox at fault transmission at fault battery warning light excederá but change the gearbox module and we should be good mine arrives tomorrow so will update you guys

Oh my. Sorry but I've owned 2 of these cars and it is not easy to diagnose problems. It's best to just take it to a trusted and very knowledgeable mechanic

Hell yeah!!! From 1500 back up camera replacement, to $150 oil change, $200 a piece tires.. Plus all the electrical and battery issues

@@kamsornthan5985 every car can be a money pit, it's how you drive and look after them. maintain them that keeps your wallet happy, ie, check oil level battery, tyres, brakes & discs, and grab a good OBD reader with jag data on it and just keep an eye on it all, You won't be paying out anymore than other vehicles. if you neglect your car your wallet will be unhappy!
