    • B/c, soccer in the United States is still viewed as a "white" sport and it certainly hasn't lost any of the stigmatic affluence commonly associated w/ the game, in this country.

    • And because the media are expecting the woke culture to jump on the title, a baller is a baller purple green red

    • Because she's not just a footballer. there is is a disparity in the experience of people based on their skin colour. You can take things for granted because you cannot fathom it that shouldn't mean it shouldn't be talked. Not talking about it doesn't fix anything

  • Black people: ''Why is society still racist in 2024?'' Also black people: ''Im defining myself, my career and my entire persona about my skin colour. LOOK AT MY SKIN COLOUR.''

  • the fact that the thing is still labelled as "a black" experience, whatever it's sports, or anything else, that mean that racism still exist, even in people that feel they were mistreated because of their race or look, well this label thing should stop and let go these new era colonialism ideas!

  • She's been played out of position what seems like her entire US national career. Had they consistently played her in an attacking position on the wings, she would have scored a ton of goals. I think she would have had the same or better career than Rapinoe. It's unfortunate that this USWNT program couldn't find a fullback all these years, so she could have played more attacking football. Also, we have to stop focusing on skin color and move past this. She's an American woman who has been incredibly successful at this sport and has represented herself with class.
