FYI : As of March 1st 2021, all Louis Vuitton bags or small leather goods manufactured no longer include the LVMH tried and true, physical date codes. In lieu of their hot stamped or debased date codes, microchips have been introduced by the brand primarily to stop counterfeits and help with repairs.

My thought is that rich people are often rich because they invest and spend their money wisely, and buying a Chanel bag is not a wise move. I know I'm not rich enough, but my assets are enough that I can easily buy luxury goods in *condupcom*

This was very informative thank you Jen! Also my friend got her pre 2015 Lv neverfull bag inside pouch vachetta part replaced and they put a zipper for her as a replacement, this would make things a bit confusing when trying to authenticate 😳
Thank you so much for the feedback! If Louis Vuitton did the repairs and replaced vachetta, they will place a special letter in front of the original date code. Check out @carlo&Seb channel because they described this when he gave his mom the Louis Vuitton bucket bag after it was sent to Louis Vuitton to have the vachetta replaced. So she should not have trouble having it authenticated :)

I bought preloved speedy B25 and I noticed that on the strap clip hooks has different font - one font is a little bit bigger on the one clip hook and I think that this strange. My bag, bought at Belk department store, had no envelope with a card . It also was sold to me with no Vitton box. Do all bags come with card & box?
I’m not sure about Belk and what they do with the Louis Vuitton boxes. It depends on where you purchase the Louis Vuitton bag from whether or not it will come with a box. Does that help?

Help I have a question about a bag I received. I have a speedy band. size 25. The left side leather band does have “Louis Vuitton Paris”. That’s all. No made in France. Is this a legit bag?

What if the code says OR and the stamp says made in France? My husband bought my LV bandouliere speedy 20 in black. Trying to make sure it's not fake.

My bag is 34 yrs old and some of what you say doesn't quite match. It's been authenticated twice.

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. 🤦🏻♀ The other one is a $40 one *yutulux* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym 😅 yt
