If we're taking just about the most unexpected kiss (and not relationship) it's Kurt Hummel and Dave Karofsky's for sure ! I thought Dave was going to hit Kurt because he was threatening him and... That! I was 😮😮😮
Nobody saw Mondler coming, but once they did, they were absolutely perfect for each other. I loved their relationship even more than Ross and Rachel, mostly because they were more stable, and less dramatic.

Here are my favorite couples - Jake and Amy (such a sweet moment), Jim and Pam (so tender yet heartbreaking - knowing that Jim's gonna leave), Sheldon and Amy (completely unexpected and cute), Ben and Leslie (can't stop rewatching it for the last couple of weeks). But I adore that Monica and Chanler's kiss - while watching it for the first time I counted, Chandler came back exactly 10 seconds after leaving! My favorite couple in Friends!
I remember the "Seddie" kiss from _iCarly_ very vividly, as well as the flame war that resulted between Seddie and Creddie shippers. And a few years ago, I realized the argument was the plot of the episode, "iStart a Flame War". I love it when writers take meta inspirations.

Kind of surprised Fitzsimmons (Agents of Shield) and Shules (Psych) didn’t at least make honorable mentions. Fitzsimmons’ first kiss happens at an inopportune/passionate time, and then Shawn and Jules kissing for the first time in 5 seasons while she was with Declan was quite a shock!
Me whenever I see two characters who clearly love each other: *KISS DAMNIT, KISS!*
Xander Harris and Cordelia Chase on Buffy the Vampire Slayer was also pretty unexpected. He was a dork. She was popular. They hated each other but then they started making out after fighting a man made of bugs.
I would have been very upset if that New Girl kiss wasn't on the list. I watched that scene on a loop when that episode aired.
I was a HUGE Dawson's Creek fan back in the day. I remember during season 1 being so pissed at Dawson's obliviousness and thinking how funny it'd be if Joey snagged Pacey instead. Then that snowballed and BAM I was a super shipper! 😂

for me Spike and Buffy's first kiss and the one that blew my mind. is at season 5 when he thought she was Buffy-bot and told her he would rather die than see her in pain and then she bend over and kissed him. That moment, his realization after a few seconds and her lines after that what he did for her and Dawn was real, and won't forget it.😮 hands down that was the moment they became one of my favourite couples.

There's a lot kisses I like or was surprised by, but LoVe one is definitely my favourite. It give me feels even almost 20 years later. And, I wasn't big New Girl fan, but there's just something with a girl looking hopefully into guys eyes and then wallking away dissapointed, only to be grabbed by him and kissed so passionately (just like in Veronica Mars).
Honorable mentions were more unexpected than some kisses that were on the actual list

Nobody will never understand the loud GASP I did when I saw that kiss in Glee, I was NOT expecting. And remembering: it had rumors that that episode would have an gay kiss, and it was also the first Blaine episode ever, so everybody just assumed that the kiss would be Kurt and Blaine, it was so "wtf?" when it happen the way it did, i was truly surprised at the time

The most unexpected kisses for me were Monica and Chandler along with Sheldon and Amy I was so excited when it happened especially when Sheldon finally makes the first move and kisses Amy I was like OMG 🎉🎉🎉🎉 since then I started to love this couple even more. My top couples of TBBT were first Sheldon and Amy, then Howard and Bernadette, and finally Leonard and Penny because somehow reminded me so much of Ross and Rachel in so many ways.

I don't really think Rory and Jess are opposites. Jess seems more like he has PTSD at the beginning. He's hurting from the rejection or especially his father. Over time he grows so much. He and Rory were incredibly similar though. If she ever slows down long enough and gives him another try, I think they would work well together. She never seems to stay happy when a guy starts treating her well though, for some reason.
You missed off Stede and Ed from Our Flag Means Death. Not unexpected because the chemistry was so BLATANT but unexpected because it wasn’t another case of queer baiting the fans.
