  • I'm a Toyota fanboy through and though, but last summer my wife and I test drove a 2020 V6 Acura TLX w/15k miles. The car is phenomenal and we bought it immediately. Been 7 or 8 months now and we still love the car, I'm surprised how much I enjoy driving it. Acura should have stuck with the two display screens, having the nav/car play always on when using the other screen like the Infinity Q50 is so nice. No touch screen, Booo! This car looks amazing though

  • The only problem I have with the TLX is that it's a midsize sedan on the outside but a compact sedan on the inside. Somehow Acura has managed to take a layout that favors interior space (FWD) and made it smaller than a RWD car inside.

    • The TLX and its predecessors have always been like this,,,,,. I have no idea why they have stuck with it, other than it sells ok, just ok. Honda’s motors lately though,,,,,,,. I’m out!! Even the Ridgeline!! Stop sales orders,,,,. Honda’s screen philosophies are messed up. They waste so much space to the transmission buttons and touch pads vs touch screens,,,, totally wasted space. The TLX’s ARE very comfortable for the two front occupants mind you.

    • Honda/Acura, enhance the engine sounds through the stereo. All TLX models have it. There are several forums on how to disable the enhancements so your stereo sounds better when it’s not pumping out music & the reverse sound waves, whatever they want to call it. You can tell the audio inside didn’t match the outside. It’s more subtle than some systems, but it’s still there.

  • I will agree that this car looks amazing. I love the look of the front end (much better than Lexus's spindle design). The whole car looks very well thought out. If I were in the market for a sedan, this would be very high on the list. However, for almost $60K, I think I would find myself considering other options. Be it a CUV, SUV, or truck. There has to be a very limited market for a $60K sedan these days. Although there is a market. And maybe Acura is OK with that, knowing it won't be a volume seller.

  • Exterior styling is a thumbs up but the interior still needs work. No excuse for a design that gives the owner the optics of a child's tablet Gorilla glued to the top of the dash. Design is always subjective and I still feel the Alfa Romeo Giulia remains the king of attractive four-door sedans and in Veloce form, is a few tenths shy of the significantly more expensive A Spec. Truth be told most.Giulias run more in line with the type r addition of the TLX, cost-wise. I'm not sure they're going to sell a ton of these with most stickering, probably in the mid 60s if not high 60s but it's a solid effort from a brand that needs some momentum in this sector.
