    • You can do anything that is not expressly prohibited in China, you can take photos, you can film the police. Unless they tell you on the spot that you can't take pictures. . Besides, you are too nervous. It's like an adventure, not like a journey. You should think that China is very illiberal. In fact, anything short of not being able to vote is freer than in Australia. It's time for you to relax and experience true freedom. . You can even have a beer on the street. This is not illegal, of course. . You also don’t need to worry about Chinese police asking you for money. They dare not do this. I promise

  • As a Chinese, I have some tips for you guys: 1、 On a high speed rail, you can actually order foods from restaurants near the next station, and they will be sent on the train when it arrives. And don't buy any food on the high speed rail, even we locals think those prices are ridiculous. We usually bring our own foods. 2、 Usually we don't eat at those restaurants in the train stations or airports, they are 50% more expensive than their counterparts outside. 3、 If you really need help, you better ask people at the age around 20 or 30, most of them speak at least a little bit of English. Most of the older generation people do not speak any English at all.

US is one country that could greatly benefit from HSR because it is a huge country and has sufficient number of people to make it economically viable. instead of HSR, we have Amtrak with 50+ year old coaches (except for the Acela) rattling along at 60 to 90 mph.

  • In the bustling areas of Shanghai, the cost of living is high, and prices can be quite astonishing. Therefore, if you find it expensive, you can always consider exploring other places. If you feel that the seating on the high-speed train is not spacious enough, it may be because you purchased a second-class ticket. If necessary, you can opt for a first-class ticket or even a business-class ticket, and the environment will be much better.

  • They limited the speed below 350. Someone told me the train could be more faster,like more than 400km/h

    • In fact, in order to accommodate the time of all trains, it is necessary to slow down and even consider the stopping time of trains on the same route, as well as prepare for sudden delays. Therefore, it must be arranged when and where it will arrive。The testing speed of high-speed trains in Indonesia is generally above 400, and there is no problem at all

    • 400+的已经在测试了,马上要运行,十年前就可以达到400公里每小时,因为出过一次事故,后来政府降低标准,确保万无一失,

    • My task is to travel lighter and more suitable. Many daily necessities come from China, and even better quality and cheaper purchases are made in Chinese shopping malls.This is my small suggestion to leave more space to purchase duty-free gifts and go home.

    • I went for a walk and I saw there was one spot in one of the carriages that a spot where one of the seat rows should be but they took it out and it was an open space for luggage - but it was PACKED of big bags. I hope you find some space but I’m very happy we only had backpacks this trip!! 😂😂😁

      @josieliftsthings@josieliftsthings7 ай бұрын
    • don't worry at all, I tried two big luggages in the train, the crew will give you priority for the big ones, they don't want you to take big luggages to occupy passengers space

      @Ibrahim86373@Ibrahim863737 ай бұрын
    • No worries. Nobody will take your luggage. My wife was a bit worried leaving our suitcase on the rack for hours and we cannot see it. The Chinese passengers laughed at us. They all said "don't worry". After 3 hours we reached the destination city, and for sure, luggage is intact.

  • hey Josie nice videos. I have been here (shanghai) for over a decade now. I have never travelled with these bullet trains because most of my travels are business trips and they always let me fly. But i do know some about these trains cuz a lot of people i know have travelled extensively with them. Regarding the small seats and tight space you mentioned: these bullet trains offer different "classes" just like airliners have first class, business and economy, and they call that 1st class, 2nd class, etc., and apparently you pay differently for the tickets. I have heard if you buy a 1st class you get huge seats that can be fully reclined and very roomy leg space and even offer adjustable foot rest - the same like the 1st class airplane seats. And they have different food/beverage menus for different classes too. I've heard people who travelled with 1st or 2nd class couldn't stop talking about it. However i have also been told although they are all bullet trains on the timetable and you buy a same class ticket, you may find with the same 1st/2nd class cars, different trains may vastly vary on how they're equipped, for instance you may have very roomy leg space but you just get a basic foot rest, while some may have LCD on the back of the front seats with which you can watch movies. But of course you will also find the tickets cost differently for a same class on your trains schedules.

  • if you want a better experience, you can buy the first class seat, but that will cost twice as much as the second class seat(the kind in this video). Of all the trains , the FuXing trail is the most comfortable one, and commercial seat is the most expensive(sometimes equal to the flight ticket)

    @Sysulala@Sysulala7 ай бұрын
    • Totally! $170 for this seat was already stretching my budget, though. One day hopefully I’d like to be able to afford first class in every bit of transport I take 😂😂😂🙏🏻
