  • As an American, I felt cheated seeing the dub most of my life until it was released with the original Australian audio, and it definitely added more flavor to the flick while reminding me of why I fell in love with the movie as it was the first post apocalyptic, dystopian setting I'd ever witnessed.

Mad Max and Max Max 2 had tremendous impact in Brazil man , every single person I know absolutely adore Max Max and consider it one of the greatest movies ever in history.... I end up moving to Australia 🇦🇺 in the late 90’s because I was so crazy to see and know the land of Mad Max , when I first came here I saw the Falcon GT XA, XB & XC on the road back then we used to see tonnes of then omg I was in heaven on earth never went back to Brazil , amazing movie shaped my idea of where I wanted to be and live even though it was a movie it still portrayed Australiana culture!

  • Mad Max is really a rather sad tale. If you look past the cars and the stunt work and look at the story itself what you are left with is a story of a man that becomes the judge of his own grievance and ultimately turns into the exact same thing he was fighting against. That scene where he chases down ToeCutter is one of the saddest thing's I think I've ever seen.

  • Great reunion, incredible talent. These great actors created amazingly memorable characters on screen. Hugh Keays-Byrne was amazing as Toe Cutter in Mad Max and then hit another home run 35 years later as Immortan Joe in Mad Max Fury Road, to name just 2 of many roles. Roger Ward amazing as Fifi and he's got a ton of film credits and a bunch of titles in post getting ready for release. Steve Bissley has a career longer than your arm, and was great as Goose. David Cameron as the underground mechanic - so memorable. Tim Burns amazing actor, played Johnny the Boy so well. And so on.

  • As a kid I watched this movie so many times I could recite every ones lines word for word perfectly as the movie was playing. My friends would constantly ask me to do certain scenes from the film for them, there is one in particular that I liked to do for them, it is the scene where the bikies just arrived at an outpost rail station to collect THE NIGHT RIDER, and it goes like this. Bubba - " good afternoon " Rail master - " good afternoon " Bubba - " we're here to meet a friend, come in on the train " Rail master - " nothing came in on the train except a couple of crates and a........coffin " Bubba - " our friend " Rail master - " you'll have to see the agent and sign the papers " Bubba - " and where do we find this agent " It was the way the lines were delivered by the actors that made the scene.

  • Thanks for makin one of the best movies EVER made from an American. I wanted one of those KZ1000s so bad back then. I got an 82 Honda 650 Nighthawk instead. I always imitated Jim Goose with my head tucked into the fairing going down Interstate 25 from Cheyenne Wy to Denver, CO. 1982 stationed at F.E. Warren AFB. I NEVER saw the dubbed version and never will.

  • This weird person went and bought an imported black Ford Falcon XB because I loved Mad Max so much. It wasn't an Interceptor replica (though it had a 351 Cleveland V8) but it was fun as hell to drive around Boulder CO when it was the only right hand drive muscle car on the road there. It's fun to go through drive-through's backward too. Sadly, the car ran me bankrupt and I had to sell it.

  • This is truly awesome seeing the cast of Mad Max 30+ years later even if Mel Gibson wasn't there though one would think that he should have been since he played Max and this movie kick started his career, But I really enjoyed this video, Mad Max is one of the ALL-TIME great classic films!

  • I'm a great fan of the Mad Max legendary movies and only just saw Beyond the Wasteland and I didn't know this whole, incredibly wonderful and passionate army of followers existed like a huge family and it's great and phenomenal and brilliant. Vale Vince Gil who I watched through many tv shows on Australian screens and probably saw Stone at the drive-in first. You were great and you made your characters believable. Drive on Night Rider. Vale to Toecutter Hugh a creepy and scary character you put across that has endured through time and sadly I have only just found out about you both. RIP and condolences to your family and friends and the huge Mad Max army. You know you both always will be cherished and warmly remembered by all especially When we look into the night sky. Eddy McLean. I only had a slim connection with Mad Max and that is the town of Broken Hill which I grew to love over a month after the 1997 railway line flooding and driving and shunting the trains that took the Mad Max 2 vehicles back to Adelaide sometime after filming and shunting the wagons out to be taken to either Islington Freight Centre or on another train south. I now wish I had taken my camera and recorded a bit of cinematic history of those imaginative and weirdly wonderful machines. Cheers Eddy.
