So if you’re watching this as a tutorial, note the following: - never spray paint the alloy block. Just sandblast it. It gives a way better finish. - never reuse old bearings. It’s cheap to replace and easy to do. Also they tend to break down - never reuse seals
Right . nice paint and long time spend with old bike , engine assembly is not correct for me , and painting rusty wheel ring . gearbox very hard working in the end of film but this is very specific mechanism on vespa scooters
Also it would have been a great opportunity to do some rust protection before painting especially since he left some rust spots here and there. The rust will penetrate the paint eventually from those spots.
It looks nice but will not run for long.
Also, dont paint the pads on the drum brakes.
Repair hole for valve stem to go through. Not sure about powder coating cooling fins.
Reminds me of my dad's Vespa, I don't know how my Dad use to carry us - a family of three on it. Those poor days are gone but my dad is very old now and my mom is no more. Amazing memories were brought back.
May your dear mother's soul rest in peace. God bless her soul. I feel you since I have been through the same pain. With love from Iran.
Like you my father had one in 1957 we took it with us to NZ ,dad taught me how to ride it such good fun
You should see how they drive around on Vespas in Greece and southern Italy. Often a family of four with bags of shopping to boot.
It was my Dad memories too about this vespa 😢
I am selling old Vespa interested ?
ผมชอบตอนนี้มากครับ ดูหลายครั้งมาก ทำให้กลับมาหนุ่มอีกครั้ง หลังจากผ่านชีวิตมานาน ขอบคุณครับ
As a 48-year-old Italian man, in my day ALL the boys had a vespa, nobody used scooters. :) And in those days we were young enthusiasts, so we dismantled them, elaborated them, repaired them, experimented… I always had grease on my hands and I was always in there disassembling carburettors. The VESPA mechanics were so ingenious that they were disarmingly simple. A 16-year-old boy, with a little wit, could take it COMPLETELY apart. Never taken the vespa to a mechanic :D good old times. now they are seen less around but many guys are restoring them and putting them back on the road. It's a pleasure to see them go around on a vespa. At the time it was freedom, emancipation, when you had a vespa you were a free young man and you felt like an adult. It was an important step. Great nice restoration I'm happy you brought it back to life.
Exactly vespa was the first ever machine I drove getting into teenage. My father was always helpful in letting me drive his brand new vespa
Mult lucru migălos , dar câtă plăcere să - i auzi motorul cum toarce ! Era copilul minune al motocicletelor ! Îmi place când văd oameni care restaurează vechituri ! Câtă răbdare au dar ce satisfacție !
Vespa is not scooter?
Güzel iş yalnız motor çalışırken eziyet çekiyor gibi geldi bana
@@user-wt9mn2ml6p The gentleman is likely talking about the modern electric scooters with tiny wheels and an app to hire them.
MITICA VESPA PIAGGIO!!!! Italian best mechanic product ever!!!!! Great job! BRAVO!!
"Chapeau" !!! Très belle restauration et au moindre détail. 👍 (Quand j'avais 8 ans, dans les années 60, je rêvais d'avoir une Vespa comme ça, je la trouvais belle, déjà à mon âge)... Merci pour cet enjouement...
Thank you for sharing, this video was pretty awesome you saved an old relic and I really appreciate that and all your work. Looking forward to watching more videos in the future.
Amazing work and unforgettable memories…. I proud to say that I was owning bajaj 150 model 1973 and using it until 2013 - Plate No MED 643. My scooter was my companion and I proudly say that I maintained it so perfectly that not a single time I ever had faced any problem…. I miss a lot… I wish I would have preserved it
Я родом из полуострова Крым,у нас у всех были скутеры ,а если у кого был мопед Vespa то ты был крутой,мечта любого подростка моего поколения.Браво!

What a uncredible job man ! Can be proud of it ! Congrats
This video is so well made ❤ super satisfying to see & hear the restoration of a true classic
All my compliments to the restorer. With that Vespa I went from Bologna, Italy, to Agadir, Morocco, in the Seventies. Thirty-three hundred kilometres at 80km per hour. I had a jerrycan just between my legs because the main tank was ridicously small (3 litres or so). One of my best trips. I then did it again after a couple of years ad I reached Algeria through Morocco, where I sold the Vespa to get a boat to reach Naples.
Good job sir! Fond memories as well, since this was my first ‘motocycle’ and I got my driving license on a 150cc version of these. Greetings from the Netherlands!
This was such a pleasure to watch. The photography, the craftsmanship, the passion were all felt. Thank you for that !
Amazing restoration work, awesome camera work, iconic Vespa!
Thank you my friend for keeping this old beautiful lady for the world. A wonderfully calm and inspiring film.🥰
Brilliant job mate. This is about the time I was in my late teens living in London. I always wanted a Vespa but they were a bit out of my reach, but this brings back so many memories, you've even got the distinct Vespa sound. Love it..

I remember when I was a little boy one of my older brothers had a Vespa in the 70s …what a beautiful memories ! LIVE WITH CREATIVITY…WHAT A NICE JOB, very profesional !!
brought back great memories of the the time my 1965 GS160 kick start shaft broke and stripped it down to put a new one in , trying to get that spring back on the shaft what a nightmare and to me your video shows the passion in restoring a classic.
Amazing transformation!! I absolutely love it! 1962 was a good year too 🥰
The year I was born!
Isso trouxe de volta algumas memórias! Lembro-me do meu Rally 200 desde muito tempo atrás e ver isso me lembrou da minha restauração. Muito brilhante! Muito bem senhor. Muito amor do Reino Unido. 👍 (English: That brought back a few memories! I remember my Rally 200 from way, way back in the day and seeing this reminded me of my restoration. Quite brilliant! Very well done sir. Much love from the UK. 👍)
This was both beautifully filmed and immensely satisfying to view, thank you.
Eccezionale! Neanche alla Piaggio avrebbero saputo ricostruire così questa loro creatura!
Absolutely lovely restoration of an iconic machine. Expert videography skills to match equally professional mechanical talents. Impressive!
A truly brilliant job, I bet it didn't look that impressive when wheeled out of the showroom in 1962. The colour is also a great choice, I love the attention to detail throughout the restoration. 10/10 Gordon, Halifax UK
Thanks Gordon 😍😍
My lil bro has same coloured vespa. Without the extra wheel at the back and long single seat.

@@LiveWithCreativity nice great job 👍👍
@@LiveWithCreativity Did you eve get that thing running more than 10km.
Una época preciosa has restaurado ante mis ojos llenos de lagrimas.... Felicitaciones !!!! Saludos desde Guatemala en el ❤ de America.
That brought back so many memories! I had a '63 Vespa the same color. I bet I threw 10,000+ newspapers off of that scooter when I had a paper route in high school. The only thing about those small tires is they were prone to flats. I could put the spare on in 5 minutes.
Finally a Chanel that takes something of significant value, and does a proper job. Too many want to be's taking things from the roadside, that they supposedly just happen to find. Proper tools, proper work space, proper restoration. Hats off.
I would have sprayed the epoxy over the bare metal then did the body work.
I've seen many videos of other people doing very good job just not always to the same level of perfection as this man he is an artisanal craftsman.
@@MarkHicks326 yeah he does good work.
Great job! I could watch this all day long. Thank you for your hard work and great skills.
You are an artist, what truely magnificent work you do….so enjoyable to watch this….👍👍👍

Amazing restoration of this iconic Italian beauty! Video beautifully captured the time-consuming restoration of this Vespa scooter reflecting craftmanship, love and dedication. Thanks for sharing!
st so amazed at the detail and dedication to the all round skills this must take - as a vespa owner of 4 classic scooters myself so envious !!!
Beautiful and well done videography and editing. Good use of live audio, music and silence .
Used to have same 1962 vespa... excellent restored.
Old is gold. This looking very fine. I like this. It is very strong and smart. Thanks for your CARE.
Real old school craftsmanship. Respect!
The camera placement, the video quality, the sound quality everything is so perfect, but your job overall beats all the edition! What a fantastic job, this is one of the most satisfying videos I have ever watched
Great shots, excellent workmanship, I watched it with pleasure until the end.
I am not an engineer or an expert in automotive field. But I liked the work and must congratulate you that you have restored a legendary scooter. Feeling great while I see you work. I like people like you who restrore old machines instead of throwing it to a junkyard
Note the wonderful curves and general design elegance, particularly the side blisters and the rear light.
Lovely to see this old Vespa getting some TLC. Struggled to watch the spray painting (lacked some solid, basic techniques) but the finish looked good. Great project really well presented.
Props for torch welding! It’s a joy to see somebody using the old school techniques
im mechanic to....but this is a high level master piece .......so beautiful u have done my friend....thanx for sharing .....big respect from indonesia 👏👍
Awesome loved every minute of that 👍🤘🏿👍 🇬🇧
great job, I had the same kind - Vespa 150 - way back in 1967, they were very popular then, we can still find this Vespa of old on streets of Malaysia, albeit a couple of them here and there. thank you for taking me back in time.
Yah, many here in indonesia and still a huge following, I have 2 myself.
Uma das melhores restaurações que já vi
Great Job! Excellent bodywork and paint! It looks brand new! Thank you!
Gran trabajo hermano,y que heemosa Vespa del año 62..completamente restaurada..no hay otra igual
I had a vintage Vespa 150 that was a little earlier than yours. It was a lovely little scooter to ride around New Orleans. I gave it to my younger brother 37 years ago when his Harley Davidson Electra Glide was down. I was surprised when he rode it in front of his Harley circle of friends. My brother-in-law owned a Vespa P200 that I got to ride. That 200 had a lot of pep and was a fantastic Scooter! You did a very nice job restoring this Vespa. I would be proud to own it. Thanks for sharing!!
Hermoso trabajo.soy un apasionado por las Vespas mi padre tuvo una, que nostalgia ver este video felicitaciones.Desde Chile un abrazo.

I have a very deep connection with this Vespa... My father used to own and ride exactly this schooter and I learned to ride it when I was in standard 5... I absolutely love this Vespa... I feel nostalgic to see it onve again... I have wonderful memories with this scooter... Good work bro... I love your video...
I have a similar story. My dad had one, it was his fathers. I also learned on it back in South Africa. They were quite popular.
pretty nice to see the scooter your father used to own get restored like this. did this youtuber get in contact with your father and return the vespa to him? what? you say this scooter didn't belong to your dad? it was a diffrent same vespa? ooh THEN DON'T SAY "exactly this scooter"
Great job both restoring and filming. My first ride on a motorcycle was on my Fathers' same year Vespa and same color. It was 1962 and I was 4 . I have been riding for 50 years. Current bike is a 2021 RE Meteor Fireball.
There is so much wrong with that rebuild it's a hazard to any rider.
Un gran lavoro, complimenti è bellissima 👏👏👏 E con quel motore 150 cc va dove vuole...
thank you for the passion you guys display,it was unspeakable

Great project, fantastic skills, fabulous filming, beautiful result! Thank you.
It’s great to see the restoration of this model of Vespa which I used to ride to school with my father driving , of course. It’s the exact same model with the spare wheel.

Excellent restoration, I love the colour. 💙👌
It is one thing to restore a super rare MV Agusta, or a Ducati, or whatever, but restoring the Vespa is infinitely more noble. I salute you! I hope your work will be an inspiration for others. 😎😎
saya dari Indonesia yang suka dengan vespa Klasik cukup menyenangkan dengan konten ini semoga sukses selalu, salam dari Indonesia 🇮🇩
Well done sir, I have never seen so much bondo put on anythig in my life, but your fabricating of the fenders and bodywork worked real well, I would never paint the cooling fins on the head, they will hold in heat, but no harm i`m sure, your paint, bodywork ,and buffing skills were spot on, I didn`t see any grease going on any bearings, except the handlebar, but it sure is a beauty, it was made when I was born, a great watch.
trabalho impecável. Parabéns !!
Great work!
Wow... Restored with passion and unending love . you just revived a broken soul into beautiful creature. I know I sense too much.. But bro u moved me with your talent. Keep it up..

Painting over rust. Nice. Tip to anyone wanting to restore: DO NOT COVER RUST, REMOVE IT ALL BEFOREHAND
Great video of a full restoration of a scooter. In the late 50’s and very early 60’s I rebuilt rather than restored Cushman scooters and Cushman Eagles. I remember doing 13 of them and most I bought were in cardboard boxes. I rebuilt them and made them road-safe but I didn’t “restore” them as you show. Back in the day, I even used a leather belt to make rod bearings!!! Worked great, which would be unheard of doing today! LOL. Thanks for the memories!
Cushman stuff is cool.
I was in my teens when I rebuilt those Cushmans. It seemed like back in that day parents bought little Johnny a Cushman scooter and the kid rode it until something caused it to not start. Dad’s would tear them down but either didn’t understand how to fix them or get parts so they seemed to fill a cardboard box with the broke-down scooter parts and store the box & frame in a corner of a barn or shed. The nearest Cushman parts dealer was 25 miles away and many the day I made that trip by hitchhiking to get a part. I can’t imagine a 13 year-old kid doing that in today’s world! I knew an elderly couple that once he retired bought a new Cushman Eagle with two seats and a windshield and toured the country on it like most folks do with a motorcycle!
Incrível, ficou lindona
Salute 🫡 sir you are a machenic, engineer, designer, etc .. Salute your talent 👏
