Fun fact on the actor playing Fred Z. Randall, Harland Williams. He’s appeared in countless movies and one of his recognizable roles was his appearance in Dumb and Dumber in which he played a cop who drinks Lloyd Christmas’ pee (nasty but the reaction is hilarious) and he appeared in the Nickelodeon series Robot and Monster as the titular Monster. He also created a show for Disney Junior and it’s none other than Puppy Dog Pals in which he voices Bob. I was surprised by the fact that he created a show for preschoolers, I’m happy that he’s been doing good in his career.

Just rewatched this movie and noticed Jon Hamm has a small uncredited part as a NASA employee towards the end of the movie when Fred has to rewire the lander while it's crashing towards Mars. 😅
