Stop hoarding old towels in the closet. I'll show you how to use them wisely

1) Today I have for you a bathroom rug made from an old towel and the remains of a terry robe. For such a rug you can use different colors of terry.
The manufacturing technique is very original; even small pieces are suitable for it. No sewing machine needed. The rug is sewn by hand with a needle and thread.
- I cut out rectangles measuring 8x10 cm. The longer this piece is, the thicker the rug will be.
- The most important thing is to stitch the first row evenly. Then everything happens quickly.
- I made pom-poms for decoration. To do this, I cut out circles with a diameter of 6 cm, collected them and pulled them together. I put small scraps of fabric inside for volume.
The rug turned out to be elastic, thick and at the same time soft and fluffy.
Terry rollers create a massage effect for the legs. Not a penny was spent, just your own labor and the joy of a useful new thing made with your own hands.
2) I’ll make a cool and comfortable turban. The complexity of tailoring is zero, and the item will become useful when visiting a bathhouse or sauna. The sewn towel can be worn when drying your hair after a bath.
For the turban you will need a small towel. You can take terry or waffle.
How to sew?
- I cut 8 cm of elastic and attached it like a loop to the 8 cm side.
- I stitched the turban without affecting the straight line. I made a tack where the loop was. I overlocked the seam with an overlocker. The seam was ironed on one side.
- I swept the open side. I hemmed it 1.5 cm inward.
- I sewed a button on the opposite side of the loop.
There are two ways to put a turban on your head:
- The long side is at the back, then it is twisted, directed forward and fastened to the button. It is very convenient that the loop stretches.
- Or, conversely, the long side is in front, and fastens at the back.
Everything is sewn easily and quickly. You can easily repeat this master class.
3) There are a lot of terry towels in every housewife’s house. They are constantly given as gifts, and I often bring them myself: when I see some attractive color, I immediately buy them. But you don’t need so many towels in the house! Today they will serve as material for reworking. I'll make a cool washcloth out of them!
For it you will need a piece of towel 60x18 cm and two pieces of elastic 20 and 22 cm.
- I folded a 20 cm elastic band in half and attached it to one long side in the middle like a loop.
- I folded the strip in half and stitched it, not reaching the edges by 5 cm.
- I turned it inside out.
- I stretched one side to the other side, it turned out that the front side was inside.
- I stitched the edges together, where the sides are 18 cm.
- Through the hole, I turned the washcloth right side out. I inserted a 22 cm elastic band inside and tied its ends.
- The open hole was sewn up manually with a hidden seam.
- The washcloth is sewn.
The delicate set is ready.

4) Many people prefer to wash with soap rather than shower gels. In this case, you need a washcloth and glove with a pocket. This is very convenient, the soap is inside the pocket and does not slip out of your hands.
How to sew such a mitten:
- She folded the fabric in half and circled her hand with her thumb extended. It is necessary to make allowances of 2-3 cm on all sides for a loose fit.
- I cut out a rectangle for the pocket from a piece of fabric, overcast it and stitched it to one side of the glove.
- I sewed a loop from a strip and stitched it to one piece.
- I connected both parts of the product and overcast it along the edge.
- I sewed an elastic band at the top of the glove with a zigzag.
