"Viltrumite DNA is so pure, you're nearly full blooded". That's why Nolan can mate with any species
They can but if it's not a similar species then then the offspring ends up inferior by viltrimite standards at least
Ya, that's my point. Mark is nearly full blooded, but Oliver can still be made with an "incapable" species because of Viltrum DNA.
@@michaelallingham4122 but humans are compatible with viltrumites, so mark can be considered almost full blood
@@michaelallingham4122no lol. Even marks brother becomes stronger than most viltrumite when he ages and even loses his purple skin and looks like a full viltrumite. If an alien gene close to as dominate as viltrumites genes the child has a high likelihood of inheriting both the abilities of the parents like marks brother will. Marks brother inherits all the powers of viltrumites and inherits the photographic memory and fast learning of his mothers insect species making him deadly in combat due to him being able to adapt to different peoples fighting styles using his fast learning and ability to not forget anything.
@calebstephan2083 You're incorrect. Inheriting the attributes of a species still makes Oliver weaker in raw strength compared to a pure blood. His fighting style will be smart and adaptive, but still inferior to a pure Viltrumite. Still makes him a threat. Basically Batman with super strength, but still lacks the raw power
In the comic, it explains that the viltrumite dna is very dominant. They can literally have kids with any race, and the kids will come out looking like them.
they explained it in the first season too, most reactors just dont pay attention
@@Ziaotic yeah, I know. It gets annoying.
@@ultrainferno.yeah they mostly pay attention to the story and not details.
@@Ziaotic To be fair, unless the reactors are binged watching the entire season at once, I don't think they would remember much.
tbf, in the comic it also took a while for that to be confirmed, since thraxan + viltrumite kids came out blue, but with time the viltrumite dna removed their other race traits, mark by now is a viltrumite that was born from a human, and oliver in a few years will be a full viltrumite, or thragg kids
In the comics after he hugs his dad Mark starts weeping uncontrollably and *BEGS* for Nolan to come back to Earth and to Debbie so they can “go back to the way things were”. It felt completely out of character and really did a disservice to Mark. They also showed things that weren’t in the comics, like how exactly Nolan actually came into contact with the Thraxans, and how he felt such guilt and remorse for what he did the he nearly killed himself by falling into a black hole. Just like The Last Of Us this show is staying faithful when it had to and deviating when they need to. This show is better than the comics because Robert Kirkman is essentially getting a do over for all of the things he either wishes he wrote differently or cut altogether.
I'm not going to say better than the comics. I WIIL say, it's a fantastic medium change from comics to animated. This format has much less time
This show is not better than the comics stop smoking
@@redhaze7663it is better in a lot of ways, especially when it comes to characters, this episode is way better at showing Nolan's growth and Mark's complicated feelings
Not to mention they've gotten pretty much 1-1 translations of at least 2 comic scenes in the past 2 episodes
Better hardly in the comics this suppose to be the first time you see omniman bleed. Fighting his kind but the TV show he was already getting whoops left and right so the build up to fighting invincible where he now starting to act unstoppable now already out of place. Added he did random killings to prove a point when in the comics it's mostly invincible fault for them crashing in the train and shy because of his blind rage. Lucan is fat in this show and the bad as moment where Nolan grabs two viltrumite and flying with there heads and said " did you know when the empire send you two here they're actually sending you two to your deaths or are you guys just realized that just now" that line and scene in that panel not here. Or invincible even tried to punch his dad in the head nsince this bugs are good in disguise which he never bother to question if it's his dad or not
What’s crazy was seeing that Omni man was thinking about committing suicide in that black hole. And the only thing that sucked was they didn’t adapt Omni man line in the comics when he was taking the viltrumites by himself in the and he said “did you know the empire was sending you to your deaths when they sent you here or are you starting to realize that now” And I just realized Nolan told mark to read his books and Debbie just got rid of them
Yeah he doesnt do that in the comics huh? It shows a lot more character development in the show at least up to this point, and yeah that line was cold af😂😂
The baby isn't 6 months old; Nolan has been gone for 6 months. Mark remarked that the baby looks way older than 6 months. This is because of the Thraxan in him has caused him to age much faster, but the Viltrumite in him is causing him to age slower, as he gets older, the Thraxan DNA will matter less and the Viltrumite DNA will take over more. He is much less than 6 months old, he may only be a few weeks old (we don't know), but we can expect that for now at least he'll age pretty quickly.
Doesn’t that mean he will get way stronger way faster because of how Viltrumites work with age?
@@thocka5144 He start to become strong more fast, yes.
@@thocka5144Viltrumites don't get stronger with physical maturity (past adulthood), they get stronger by exercising and training, just like humans. The reason old Viltrumites tend to be powerful is because they were alive during the great purge (there is some survivorship bias), and they tend to have more experience with fighting in general. There is a heavy correlation between age and power, but I don't think there is a causation. It's not as if a Viltrumite who sat on his ass for 4,000 years would be especially powerful.
@@jd1800 Nolan explained it that way tho but it would make sense because Thraag is the strongest even tho he isn’t the oldest whatsoever
@@thocka5144 Maybe they get somewhat stronger with physical age, but if they do it's gotta be negligible compared to exercise, because otherwise Mark never could have caught up to the other Viltrumites considering he's practically a fetus compared to someone like Thaedus or Conquest.
"I can always start again, make another kid". Such great foreshadowing from season 1 episode 8.
yeah but that was nolan bulffing those who have read the comics know that time on earth did change nolan (notice the tear from nolan while he was leaving earth)
@@zeeshanismail7768f*ck bro it sucks having to wait so long for people to see the full story😭😭 i wish i could explain this typa stuff to people but ion wanna spoil😂😂
The Viltrumite DNA is so strong that any mate of theirs will give birth to a humanoid baby and in time its appearance will look like a muscular regular human. Ex: A Viltrumite has a gray humanoid baby with an elephant woman, but the baby will lose their gray skin color as he/she gets older.
Yeah, even Mark, who starts the comic looking like his mother, ends in the comic looking like his Viltrumite father.
I am I the only one who watched ep4 without knowing this was an mid season finals and we have to wait till early 2024 for the part. That sucks because this was my favourite episode so far.
That’s how every 2 part season should be, the final episode of the first part is the episode where SHIT goes down and gets u thinking what will happen with so and so💯
@@wingman5100 ah, yes, literally nothing happens in 3 episodes, then you get a decent episode which ends with a cliffhanger. Didn't know Invincible turned into the garbage that The Walking Dead is.
@@Dionysus-207stop
@@Dionysus-207if you think nothing happened in those 3 eps, stop watching the series and see compilation of best moments on KZhead, since I’m guessing only fights matter to you
@@Dionysus-207nothing happened in 3 episodes? 🙄 sometimes impatient crybabies who only care about fight scenes deserve that feeling. 🫶🏽✨
Best episode so far
The voice actor for Mark is fantastic. He really sells every emotion.
As I saw someone else point out, it's interesting that the comic had Mark see the near genocide of a race made of insects. It reflects how Nolan saw him destroying Chicago. Viltrumites can't tell the difference between an infestation and human civilization
There's more than one reason why Robert Kirkman (the original author of _Invincible_ and _The Walking Dead_ comics) made the Viltrumites look like humans. _"Viltrumites can't tell the difference between an infestation and human civilization"_ The difference we see is because we are humans and hence human colonies/civilizations matters to us. On the other hand though, just like the Viltrumites, colonies of non-us species are seen as an infestation. Viltrumites *are* humans, except everyone's a Superman. They treat non-viltrumite species the way we treat non-human species: don't really care about them as long as they stay in their area, "population control" if they start leaving their area or be irritating, and most importantly a resource to be kept on hold to be plundered when needed. Unfortunately, for the Viltrumites, one of them (Nolan) is a huge, disgusting embarassment: he's a _tree-hugger_ with a beastiality fetish, and he even dresses as them (like a furry, lol).
This midpoint finale was AMAZING! I can't wait for part 2 of Season 2. I love seeing them introduce Oliver Grayson (Mark's little brother) into the show. I love the conflict of emotions Mark is going through when finding out where and what his father has been up to and the realistic anger he has against him. I also see how deeply conflicted Nolan is about growing feelings for the Thraxians and the new family he has and yet betraying his people's cause, really digging this redemption arc for him. The fights in this episode were utter and pure RAW BRUTALITY! Steven Yeun and J.K. Simmons really knocked it out of the park with delivering those vocal lines Love also saw Debbie finally start to slowly heal after so much suffering. Also, let's take a minute to appreciate how beautiful Nolan and Debbie's opening sections were despite being millions of miles apart but going through the same thought process and watching them both considering suicide was so surreal to watch Happy Thanksgiving btw Jaby and Achara
The music this season has been gold.
Whats crazy is how even separated omni mans journey mirrors deb's journey as they travel aimlessly... Her through the city and him flying though space. They both compilated ending their own lives him at the blackhole and her on the bridge. He accepts that he can never go back to earth and she excepts the man she knew as her husband never really existed. tbh he did learn to accept feelings on some vegeta shit lol thinking the earth was a nice place to live and actually grew attached.
Except she never killed anyone Never killed kids.... He did
"I think she can only do matter." lmao Yes, correct, but everything is matter. The limiter the scientist placed on her prevents her from altering living things but that's all. So, yes, technically she can turn H2O into O2.
About the kid thing , the plot device is that Viltrum dna "overwrites" 99% of any species dna if they are compatible hence " humanish looking child." So he's technically full viltrum
No Humans are more compatible so Mark is nearly full blooded, but Oliver still ages faster due to his mom's thraxan. blood and is purple bro.
@@greatsageequaltoheaven8115aging faster for Oliver still means he will live at least 1000 years
@@greatsageequaltoheaven8115 compatible to the viltrimite standards-
@@drex1239if I remember, Oliver's lifespan is only a few decades in the comic.
True that Viltrumites can reproduce with basically any species. But humans are more compatible with viltrumites than others due to sharing a genetic ancestor.
You nailed it about the books. They are critical.
It's official, Omniman is Thanos's father
Debbie matters because of what Art said. Her strength and the way she raised Mark saved Earth from Nolan. Her journey isn't over...
3:45 their reaction 😂
Eve was so frustrated that she seemed to take it out on the villain- honestly that fight didn’t even need to reach the bridge
For real. She just turned the city into a dropcloth for the fallout of her anger.
@@acereporter73 literally- the second I saw them hit the bridge, I knew shit wasn’t gonna end well. Her shouting “get up” at him definitely didn’t help
(Not a comic reader) I think when it comes to the child’s life span it’s all about perspective. Nolan’s genes are slowing his rate of growth, to us the kid is growing rather fast since it’s only been like 3-4 months since season 1 ended and he’s already expected to start saying his first words but compared to Thraxans he is aging slower.
Yeah, also to take into account in season 1 Nolan mentions that Viltrumites age slower the older they get
Plus has the kids Viltrumite genes take over he's gonna end up being able to live a fucking long time anyway.
Clancy brown is General Kregg,Phil Lamarr is Lucaas ❤
Perfect casting.
I think the reason things moved so fast is because the writers wanted Mark to act on emotion rather than logic. He has no time to think about forgiving his father, he has no time to come to terms with his little brother, he just has to act on his most basic instincts like saving life, and helping a loved one, everything else is meaningless in that moment. It's also a good sign that he didn't go straight for the kill, that shows that even under immense pressure, he's not a killer at heart.
4:37 Vultrumite genes are more dominant than those of other species. That's why their babies always look more Vultumite like in this case for instance.
Viltrumites can reproduce with basically any species they want, but some species are more compatible than others. Humans are among the species most compatible with Viltrumite genetics. Mark is like 99.99% Viltrumite on a genetic level despite his mother being human. Just makes it harder for the Viltrumite species to go extinct if being super strong, having super durability, super speed, a healing factor, living for thousands of years and having flight wasn't enough. Even if there's just one Viltrumite left in the galaxy they can just fly around find a species they can impregnate or be impregnated by then bam, another Viltrumite is made. Kind of like the Asari in the Mass Effect Trilogy in a way.
Eve didn't choose the location. Teen team's HQ is in the bridge. Remember Rex was shooting fireworks to win her back on top of the bridge.
In the comics, they gave Mark 100 years to take over Earth. Here it seems they are less patient...
Why would they be patient? It's more on brand for them to force and expect results soon. Especially from a half-Viltrumite son of a traitor. Also the one-hundred years deadline never was kept in the comic too
Viltrumite dna is op. They can breed with almost anything and the kid will practically be full Viltrumite
The hug surprised me a lot, especially because of his attitude after doing it And the bug lady dont look bad at all, I would go for it if I lived on that planet
So what you're saying is, she's not bad but she a baddie
I'm sorry to be a horny one, but i'll probably do the same 😂
I swear in the comics the bug lady nolan second wife was kinda cute looking. Not sure if they capture that in here or I'm not picking because of the clothes
If you guys did not know in the comics this chapter is very fast paste and make forgives omni man very easly instead of putting up a fight so trust me there is nothing wrong with the run time and show runners actually made it better then the comic book version.
It doesn't matter anyway. Once Viltrumites know that there is a planet with life on it they will conquer regardless of Nolan being there or not.
Crazy thing is, he'll be able to heal from that broken back
He grew a heart like the Grinch hope everybody has a merry Christmas
Bane: I broke Batman's back. Lucan: Hold my guts. FREE ART PARTY AT 10K!
great video,great episode................we need to see mk1 omni-man all intros....is so good
I was waiting for this !
THANKS for working so hard on Thanksgiving evening!!!!
Jaby: "He has a new pet" 🤣🤣🤣
This season is Crazy!!
Nolan staring at the two suns for me was a clever star wars reference
When Mark punched Lucan nd he barely moved I lowkey forgot the show was called Invincible
Omni man can escape from black hole because he's faster than speed of light
"fight like a viltrumite" is probably my favorite quote of the year
17:56 [SPOILER ALERTS] . . . . The key to defeat the Viltrumites! I'm not going to dive deeper. But in the comics, Nolan explains his many journeys on couple of books, and two of them specifically contains information about Viltrumite's Weakness. That's why he says to Mark: "Read My Books"!
Well obviously
This episode was fire
I know on the surface it looks like that “make another kid” like Nolan said was true but I think that he had a impulse decision and slept with someone and apparently protection doesn’t exist
Those who haven't read comics, you have absolutely no idea how good it is going to get. (Spoilers) My one of the favourite parts from the comics is the Viltrumite prison phase, of (now heavily buffed after his beat down by the Viltrumites) Allen finding Nolan and Battle Beast there, Allen befriending Nolan and becoming bffs, Allen wrecking the prison facility built to contain several Viltrumites like a house of cardboards, like basically it took just one punch, Nolan and Allen watching Battle Beast go psycho on a Viltrumite and Nolan saying to Allen, "Is this guy real?" (Imagine a top-tier Viltrumite saying that, Battle Beast had went feral.) And then him recruiting Battle Beast and Nolan and taking them to the Coalition. I mean the whole story upto where Nolan fights Mark and leaves Earth seems mundane to what happens in the rest of the story, but if that part getting animated in season 1 was received this good, I can only imagine how much commotion this show will make with the future seasons.
4:32 Well Achara he did say he can always start again and make another kid.
No, it makes sence Because it Hows Viltrumate DNA works, it overtakes another species DNA. Mark is like 98% Viltrumate and New kid (Oliver,if i remember it right) is like 90/95% Viltrumate.
5:57 Why would that matter? Injuries aren't genetic. They're growing bodies from dna.
@19:05 General Creed sounds like the same voice actor that played the General aka The Black Smith in The Punisher.
I got into comics as a child and i thank God that i didnt analyze everything to death reading those books or watching tv and movies.
The show is still amazing. Just the detail that they animated surveillance footage for Donald to watch. 99.9% of other shows would just have reused season one footage and didn't care or at best make the old clip a memory.
Omni man was awesome in this episode
Bobby Hill: Do I bleed? I will”
That was my favourite episode watching Mark defeat a viltrumite while being injured an a non-psychopath.
20:05 he became to self-absorbed since he knew he wasn't the "original"
6:35 Remember when Nolan found out that Mark got his powers, he immediately got serious because it immediately reminded him that his son could be killed because he was too weak, and that he was very aggressive in parts of their training because he had to prepare his son for a test, is he worth living as a Viltrumite, but let's say Mark didn't get his powers, Nolan would be able to protect them more easily because they would just be some civilians he just cares about, and there would be less suspicion that it was his family.
18:57 How can Jaby not know this thing, lol
I'm so glad we finally get to see more viltrumites just wait till they come to earth
It happened this fast in the comics.
3:50 now here u can see jaby's true race😂😂😂😂😂
"I thought she was gonna die a different way, but this is way grosser." LOL
That’s Azula!
"why doesnt he just leave?" its like they dont watch the show lmao mark isnt about to let millions of innocent people die just cause its not "his problem"
The Racer is coming!!!
I love watching you guys and my last name is Kirk also but definitely not related...
22:47 , Actually not sure why , but personally seeing the Sinister Omni Man (a Vanquisher & a Real Beast) fighting against his barbaric Savage race felt more cool, because something about the fight felt like , Unstoppable Force VS immovable Objects.😂❤😂❤ If I would have been Given time to digest that Omni Man is a Good Guy now would have sub consciously inculcated my mind to believe that he is a "Good guy Superhero" , instead now I feel that he is the Grandfather of the Top G Anti heroes. ⚔️ ⚡✊💪
Grindhouse is on Tubi. Have y'all all watched with the trailers?
lets gooo !!!!
Viltrumite DNA is very powerful it's their real super power
Damn Azula.
It was explained in the 1st or last episode of season 1. I would guess Viltrumite DNA is extra long and can fold into itself. So if a human has 23 and a Nolan has 100, the Viltrumite would bond with the 23 human pairs and the other 77 would loop around and recombine with itself, shuffling the DNA around even though its sort of "cloned", but not. Any remaining pair would be discarded. So Mark would have 38 "cloned" + 23 Viltruman pairs for a total of 61 chromosomes.
On another note, did you notice the same trio that hit Thraxa attacked Allen. It's not actually a big coincidence ;)
I mean look at it from Nolan's point of view if you have empathy. He is struggling with his whole worldview. "How is this better?" 1st) Viltrumites are essentially as close to demigods in their universe. They live for THOUSANDS OF YEARS, have amazing physical physics defying abilities and superior tech. They then decide to explore space and find out that every single species they come across is short lived, weak and essentially living in the middle ages compared to the Viltrumites. Of course you would develope a superiority complex of epic proportions. But wait... 2nd) The culture he was born, indoctrinated and raised in is a culture that very recently decided to kill off all the weak of there society. Weak in all metrics, meaning if you had empathy or compassion for anything lesser than a Viltrumite you needed to go. So Nolan has never cared about anything but his mission he belived so deeply in because why would he not? This man was having a breakdown experiencing emotions he never knew he had. Because.. 3rd) Nolan has lived for thousands of years by this point. I would probably guess like 2-4k but if it is any higher it proves the point even more. He was only on Earth for 20 years. 20 years compared to 2 thousands is quite small. Which is why I think most people take offensewhen he called Debbie a pet. I bet most see the pet comment as a dominant/submissive thing but I truly believe he meant it in terms of lifespans. There are people that truly love their pets like they are blood relatives but however when that pet dies, they will get another so they can have something to love and keep them company. They still love their pets with all their being. Love and emotions are new to Nolan. Debbie really got through to him on an emotional level, and it has only been 20 years, which is like a 3 day weekend compared to us.
In season one Nolan said "Viltrimite dna is so pure.youre nearly fulll blooded" Which means the can mate with others but they will always produce a more viltrimite child. OLIVER will look more and more viltrimite as he ages
Fun facts but in the comics when we meet Mark’s brother for the first time he wasn’t a baby, no he was actually the size of a kindergartener and could even speak.
Mark can't just leave without a space ship and navigation, he doesn't know the way back to earth so he'll definitely get lost, plus he doesn't know how thraxan ships work.
I think omni man just gave mark a hint that there is a weapon that can kill the viltrumites or a virus! When he mentioned aboth some books.
The Skurge virus
This is basically a darker version of DragonBall
Damn Viltrumites or Omni man really got that adaptive kind of sperms that can put babies into anyone in the galaxy regardless of the species they will still look like them 😂😂
The thing about humanity that Nolan never understood and was the reason for the demise of the Thraxans was smashing chicks and bugs have different meanings.
4:12 - Baby Thanos.
The best
oh shit its viltrumite kano
Jaby is Mark
7:20 "Well, it's his (Nolans') fault" Okay yes. And? What's the point in bringing that up? Everyone already knows whose fault it is lol. It changes nothing. The Viltrumite's are there to help Mark with his training, Nolan not leaving the planet is a pointless detail to get hung up on.
I don't think the baby is six months old; he just looks six months old. Nolan hasn't been with them for more than six months. He was in space most of the time.
the dna thing although is kind of a spoiler i guess so if you don't wanna see it then stop reading .-. BUT im pretty sure that viltrumite genetics n dna is just built different to the point where as Nolan i think also explained that it'll replace the other genes completely the more the person (hybrid) grows or something like that
I still dont know how they found tham.
I suggest u read the invincible comics u will get a better understanding of the show and characters. It will really help u guys
shit them glasses are damn near invincible
Still waiting for ROCKY III reaction

What? He's not?
They're real brothers
I wonder what’s in the books. Is it a weakness? I way to find more strength? Training knowledge?
[SPOLIER ALERT] it has logs of various creatures and items that has been known to hurt viltrumites
@@zeeshanismail7768 Oh thanks man I appreciate it that’s really cool
i mean the viltrumites wouldve tracked nolans path anyways, and come across the thraxans, and possibly even genocide them without proper reason as they think of them as "digusting creatures"
Love ep prime and Netflix, kill it anime
14:08 at this exact moment and scene Omni’s man is like a child learning to deal with new emotions risen within himself. Viltrumites have a strong brainwashing by their “the strong live the weak die” society. Kregg has a change of heart in the comics and has a child with a human woman who he loves but he has multiple partners. He loves all of them.
Where's Monarch E03??
