    • I dp believe dear Ryan there are many surprises. To be discovered in your house, and not all are like the floor... this house has had many years of changes and adaptions..surely a treasure waiting to be reawakened..😮 will require lots of caution and a steady fastness in your resolve to make it a wonderful home again. I believe you can do it...can't wait to see your progress ❤.

    • @@beciaaus2811 I expect they are not formalized, but is more like a free flowing friendship that doesn’t keep score. They make each other laugh often, share a love of beauty, and the absurd. Ryan wants to be able to transform old properties like Billy does, and Billy can encourage that…and give guidance. They make each other brighten up when they are together, and often have a shared esthetic for what a space can become. Ryan helps Billy in the ways he can, and Billy knows how to inspire Ryan to stretch his wings, and try new things. They make me think of Siblings, one stable and driven, the other a bit of a prankster, who puts on a performance of humour, yet truly appreciates the steady skills and inner vision of his older Brother.🖤🇨🇦

    • @@beciaaus2811 Thank you. Yes, Ryan does want a lot of things, and so does Billy. Ryan is not afraid to roll up his sleeves and get his hands dirty, but the building process is not natural to him. While Billy gets an entire vision in his head, and can bring it into life, he has always been a bit self effacing in front of a camera. Ryan is a natural showman, each has a strength the other wishes to develop, and I think they are getting there together. They are both big hearted men, with lots of empathy and love, and they don’t keep a scorecard…we have seen each of them drop their own project to help the other, and I think that just might be the tie that binds.🖤🇨🇦

  • On the utility room where the trap door is going to the basement… could you redo the roof to where it is now flat and then put an outside patio on it. This can then be your ‘yard’ where you can go sit in morning to drink your coffee or in evening to have wine. If done right, you can have small garden planters where you can grow herbs & veggies

  • I'm guessing that the damaged arch in the kitchen, behind the living room fireplace, is where the stove/range/cooker originally was and could be again. The space next to that, with the shelf ghost marks, was the pantry. I don't know what the other recess was, but it could be a good place for a fridge. That would open up floor space and make room for modern conveniences.

They also had a large heavy wood counter between the two rooms. It was a super tiny space but seemed much larger because of the semi- open plan. You might consider something similar for your space.

  • Ryan put your hot water unit in the utility room and the large space can be where your fridge goes with a cupboard above in the arch area. the other indent can be your coffee kettle toaster area with the kitchen bench going as Billy stated. Lovely seeing the guys there to help and give advice. Billy is so excited to start to demo 😂 and discovered a wonderful surprise.

  • Such a fun video, Ryan. And having Nick help you with the renovations is brilliant. Billy’s smile when he knocked at the door was so delightful. He looked so happy to be there. Quite a cool find in the kitchen. xx

  • This is good news to see Billy and Nick giving you good advice. Nick's help will be invaluable too. You have some serious structural work to do, so having 2 of you there will be so much safer. Really pleased to hear you will be doing weekly videos. Dailies would stop the progress needed. Good luck Ryan, things are looking good! 🍀
