I really loved this animation the same as original video! Really creative and gives so much emotion to it! (This is not the message to the author, but to the comments) I get that the comments are fans and people who liked this animation better, we all have our tastes and that's fine! but comments are so unappreciative of the original 3D animation. So much negativity is thrown to a team of people, who were put out of their comfort zone and had to work with limitations of what Dream put them in. So many other factors played into the role and no one cares to understand why the animation looks the way it is. Big team =/= Pixar level animation. They have tried their best, so please, support 2D and 3D artists!!! 💜 If you want to know why the things went the way they are - Production team is there to answer your concerns! We can be civil after all-

Just because they think this one is way better doesn't mean their unappreciative of the work put in to the original one Like me for example personally I don't like the original music video and I loved this one doesn't mean I don't appreciate the work put into the original one
@@srikarsini2379 That's totally fine! We all have different tastes. I saw many comments go "Let's forget the original video exists" "Finally, some GOOD animation!" that's just... lame. Imagine to work on something you've been hired to do and everyone is disregarding you + on top of that you get blind hate (people have gone commenting on their stuff and leaving outrageous hate comments and most of the team are minors) Been looking at the situation on Twitter and it just... sucks. I am talking about the comments which are truly unappreciative, not about how people like one better than another. I can grasp this concept as I am an animator myself and has to work with constructive critiques 😉

Can we just talk about how this relates to Dream/Clay's situation today? He made a bold choice with his face reveal, but people hated it to the point he can't hold it back anymore. He's back to wearing a mask for the rest of his career on KZhead, and all because of the hurtful words of people who no longer care about how their actions affect others. So Dream, or rather, Clay (it feels disrespectful for me to refer to you as your online persona when you're another person very different from the online persona), even if you never see this, I hope you're doing better and recovering from those hurtful words. This song really gets me emotionally on each lyrics that represents that everyone has a mask behind their struggles of reality. For me, it's my own struggles to accept for who i am, no matter how much i try to be me but it's hard for me so many times i can count, i know all of this doesn't make any sense and that's how i feel of my own world. Hearing this song just makes me cry and remembering my own mental health to held on and my anger issues, in the end i kept living on behind an mask of my own and not knowing what makes me feel insecure for so many reasons.

if it was animated like this it wouldn't have gotten the hate it had gotten, but also the whole "I'm failing all my classes" part should've been replaced with something else. I think it was an attempt to be more relatable to his audience even though that line had nothing to do with himself so it was perceived as inauthentic. Which I think is why they didn't add it to this video or that was all they animated.

i think its unfair to say that about the animators on the original video, they put hard work into it and if it's not what you were hoping/ prefer then you can keep that to yourself. the animators and dream are getting a lot of hate for the animation even though its great and animatic styles like these are also very good, but animation is a really hard skill and should be very proud if you have that skill, if you do think this looks better than that's your opinion but its much harder to create a 3d animation like that (not saying this is not difficult animation on that scale takes a bit more time and effort).

I was hoping for this kind of animation because it’s what I like, and I was expecting it because that’s the kind of animation I see most often coming from the fan art community (and I knew Dream had recruited animators from that community). I never said the animators for the official video did a bad job. Also I am commenting on this video and not the official one. I didn’t leave any negative comment there, I’m just giving my personal appreciation here. Some people have commented here that they like the official better and I think that’s cool too, as long as they’re not being rude about it and saying this one sucks. When you make art some people are gonna like it and others are not gonna like it, no matter how good it is or how much work you put into it.

The animation would've passed had it been fan made and just made as a hobby but as something Dream actually invested money on, I'd say it really wasn't as satisfactory as it should've been.
