  • They still exist in India. Seriously guys dig crap out of the sewers near jewelry markets because the gold dust that falls off of the jewelry crafters eventually ends up in the sewers when it rains. The recovered crap is then processed to remove the gold.

  • It's horrible what the working class were forced to do in Victorian times, just to make a living. I descended from a Chimney sweep, and crossing sweeper. A crossing sweeper was unreliable profession for money, and sometimes they had to fight to retain their patch.

  • There's a nice book about a tosher, by Terry Pratchett. It's called "Dodger". It's about mudlarks, thoshers and 'orrible murder in a very Dickensian London. It's so Dickensian that even Charles Dickens has to show up a few times.

  • Not your typical fun Diablo 2-3 raid in the sewers lol. It's like in movies it always make me laught that the sewers are always perfectly clean and practical while in real life I highly doubt their are.
