I'm very pro-DIY, the more the better, but I also want the game to release with a fully established, functional town that players don't have to immediately change if they don't want to (but rather do it incrementally as the game progresses). My biggest gripe with the Sims 4 is that you can barely change the worlds at all, and regardless of which town you open, they all function and feels basically the same. Same townies everywhere doing absolutely nothing meaningful for themselves. It's like playing with someone else's legos, and be constantly told "Don't touch that!" 🤣 I hope they will add voices to the game though. It is eerily silent... Gonna miss simlish 😆
I agree, the fact that The Sims 4 is completely uneditable is beyond annoying. Especially when things are placed in such random spots, I just want to grab them and move them. That'll be nice to be able to change that kind of stuff.
The constant comparisons to Sims4 is getting old. Sims4 is now a 10 year old game, performing on 10 year old technology. It is expected to have some issues being as old at it is. What isn't fair is comparing it to what is suppose to be a brand new, 2024 game, with 2024 technology. They will obviously differ. This game should look better, and hopefully perform better. But right now, it's niether of the two. Imo, Life By You looks horrendous, and any blind person can see the horrible janks and low frame rates in these videos. And, they are selling it this way 'as is' while calling it: Early Access'.
@SimlikeitHot yeah, it does look bad. But I didn't want to be rude incase something had changed more recently that I hadn't seen yet. Kind of tired of the whole early access thing tbh.
@@jsimlady I have a very bad reputation here on life Sim vids, because I am very honest and blunt with my opinions about them. I try to be respectful, but it goes south very fast with most. I've been insulted, mocked, ad blocked from many channels due to my 'in your face" approach to many, debating their opinions on the game in question. Thank you for allowing me to be honest on your channel and you're being honest as well about this game. They need to know how bad it's progressinhg... I quickly learned that, if you are not a die hard hater of The Sims4, then you are a 'simp' for EA. Not true. I love The Sims4, not EA. I am aware S4 has issues, but I am also respectful in regards to it being an old game, which should not be performing at 2024 technology levels. This is the reason Sims5 is in the works. It should have 2024 tech...and, S5 is the game that should be compared to all new life sims, because it will also be new. New tech vs new tech is more fair..than new tech vs old... Sim haters will never see it this way because they are so filled with hate over the company that owns S4, they just want it all to burn to the ground while watching another life sim take it's place. Disrespecting a game that has given 25 years of entertainment means nothing to them anymore. Nothing should ever age, or break, or have any issues..ever. it should always be 'perfect'..like them. While Life By You is showing nothing BUT issues right from the start, but this is ok with them because, it's 'new'..it'll be 'early access' it's a potential 'Sims killer' annnd...it's lead by 'Rod Humble' himself (which really means nothing, because it was Will Wright who created The Sims, not Humble). This game, has obviously been rushed, for obvious reasons...to compete. They all are being rushed to compete. It's not about being 'transparent' with the consumer, it's not about them having 'passion and love' for their project..it's about money, for ALL of these companies. Who can bring in the most of it, the fastest. I'm sticking with Sims4 until the wheels fall off. I love all my little beloved Sims, they've done nothing to me but entertain, and should not be punished or deleted simply because a 'new' game is in the works. A game (again) that looks horrendous.
I am so sorry, yt doesn't tell me about replies to comments anymore. I don't necessarily see anything wrong with being honest or blunt, as long as people aren't mean about it. Yeah, unfortunately some people can get pretty extreme and you can't be either way about a game or a company without them being really nasty about it. Staying off twitter helps avoid that though.
