Literally life saver. Was running late for an event and so glad I remembered your tutorial. Although not ideal, did it in the car as a passenger in five minutes 😂. It worked.

Wore this to a wedding and got so many compliments. More than I ever got on my hair down- that takes me hours. If you are good at braiding your own hair, you can make this very fancy. Make sure to pull out a lot! I’m going to wear this more often in summer. Just braid few days old hair and wash the front pieces 😊😊😊

I've been growing out my pixie cut during the covid lockdowns. The trick you use to handle the short bits in the back is brilliant! Trying this up do today!!

I cannot believe it!!!! I DID IT!!! I am absolutely hopeless when it comes to my hair! I can French braid but it never looked right…or like it is supposed to. My hair is the same length and cut as your model, so I never knew what to do with the shorter part at the back of the neck. BRILLIANT!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! LOVE IT!
I have naturally kinky curly hair and I did this hairstyle for a more elegant look than my regular wash n go’s. This is now my go to for an updo! Quick, easy, classy. It looks like you put SO much effort into it but it’s so simple. My hair is a little past my shoulders when curly and stretched but would still work if longer or shorter. Whenever I get my hair done for something, I always end up in a comatose state because all the touching and manipulating my hair and gentle tugging knocks me out. Watching this stylist working the hair would put me to sleep that I would never wake up from. I'm getting sleepy watching her manipulate the hair, lol. The finished product looks absolutely gorgeous. The funny thing is that that length gives you the possibility for updos that you would normally expect to be done with long hair. Are used to have hip-long hair and was not able to do any updo because of the weight of my hair. Now I'm growing out my hair from a pixie cut into a short bob and I'm much more able to do updos that look really like "long hair styles" that I used to do with my really very long hair.

I know it's an updo that's supposed to be for fancy occasions but I'm planning on using this throughout the summer when I don't want to just do a bun :D it looks so nice and secure so I think I will feel good and it will stay while I chase my kids around all day, lol. Thank you for this!

I cannot recoment this style enough, I did this yesterday and I felt so good! Mine turned out a bit less loose because my hair is fine but I loved it anyway, it looked classy and elegant and that bun underneat really added a nice bump of volume at the back. I used volumising mouse, volumising dry shampoo and I curled my hair before and that helped loads with keeping everything in place and adding body 😁
I love how your showed how to put the bend in on the face framing pieces. That will help me so much when I go to style my hair. I think I can get it right now. Also I would love a naturally curly hair tutorial for those of us cursed with the curls. Obviously when you're able to get a model in. I know we're still dealing with that nasty bug out there. If you can, please do a tutorial for fine, thin (not thinning, just thin) hair. I probably have half the amount of hair she has volume wise so braids (okay not just braids) are difficult. :)

I have the same problem. My hair isn't thinning, it's just thin and sparse naturally. I have zero volume. Hair styles like braids never look as full as I see online no matter how much I fluff it. I guess us folk with thin hair are just hopeless.

My neighbor had a pixie cut with long pieces in the front and she wanted a voluminous slicks back style for prom. When were playing around with her hair I did something very similar on the top of her head, like a voluminous braided Mohawk kind of thing. If your hair is that short you might have to cheat on the braid though. What i did was place the hair like a braid and on it in place. Then pin in leftover hair like she did in this for added texture. Very pretty. She ended up going with a fully slicked back look the day of, but i liked the faux braid one. I've been doing the little pony on the bottom for years, exec with longer hair, you could braid that and play around with buns on the bottom. Once you get the basics down the options are endless. Just play with it. So simple, but people think it's crazy complicated. I've even done faux braid thing when i don't feel like actually braiding. Twist pieces and pin them crisscrossed like shoe laces. So easy, but so complicated looking. This video explains the basics well. Take it and expand

The model is exactly how I imagined Fleur Delacour from the Harry Potter series, just with short hair. That is to say, super pretty! This updo is also great. I have curly hair that always gets flattened, stretched out, and frizzy overnight, even with a satin pillowcase. So I'm always looking for updos to wear on non-wash days.

I really enjoy placing the last pieces of hair individually, it just gives you that much more dynamic and really sets the look off, it takes it from a beautiful hairdo, to something that looks out of a magazine😍

I am wondering if you could please could create a style for medium length, fine, thin and thinning hair on top?
