She is crucial for that French defence and is always an aerial threat from set pieces. Will be interesting to see who England put on her. Greenwood would probably be able to keep her quiet.

@@alanbrown4703 Uefa have changed the qualifying criteria. So as far as i can make out, the top two from all 4 of the Div A groups go through. If i understand how Uefa are doing it, the bottom two from each group go through to a knock out system. Its complicated, i could be wrong. I have no idea about Div B and C. I doubt if any team from B and C will get to the finals or knockout stages. It will probably be one of the top 6-8 teams who will win it , as usual :) Spain , France , Germany , England , Sweden. Norway , Denmark are in with a shout. Switzerland , Portugal , Wales might make it through. Until the May / June games, its anyones guess.
Very good result for France. I rate them and Sweden very highly but thought Sweden would get a 2-1.
Sweden are a team that digs in, but they lack a clinical finisher. Blackstenius hasn't been great all season, often off side, often not finishing well, even when she gets into a great position 1v1 with a keeper. They scored against England because England were sloppy and swithed off. Would be interested to see the possession stats for this game. England dominated in possession against both Sweden and Ireland, something like 70% to 30%. France dominated in all stats in this game but |I can't find the possession stats yet. I think those games between England and France may decide this group.

Il manque de vraies buteuses à l'EDF; l' attaque est encore maillon faible de l'EDF comme à la CDM en Australie-NZ... On a M-A Katoto comme est seule vraie attaquante, qui sait marquer ou faire marquer les autres...ça va être dur aux J.O. et à l'Euro
Hervé préfère passer par les côtés et pas construire le jeu au centre, donc c'est toujours pareil : pas d'occase franche et donc 0 à 0 ou 1 à 0 sur coup de pied arrêté ou grâce à Wendy. C'est frustrant et on risque encore d'être déçus
Eh, c'est la SUEDE en face... pas l'Albanie.
La défense présente aussi de sérieux trous dans la raquette. La stratégie de pressing constant / la récupération et l'alignement dicté Wendie Renard permet d'avoir un grand nombre d'occasions, ce qui est mieux vu que l'attaque de l'EdF n'est pas la plus efficace qui soit (il faut souvent 10 occasions franches pour avoir enfin un but) mais les moments ou l'adversaire arrive à percer le maillage, c'était vraiment dangereux. Ce qui a sauvé l'EdF hier soir, c'est qu'elles ont réussi à déjouer la Suède dans les petits espaces et les récupérations permanentes (et avoir su garder ce rythme intense et agressif pendant tout le match) mais contre des équipes plus sereines (ou quand cette dynamique n'arrive pas à s'installer, genre contre l'Espagne, ou contre la Suède l'an dernier) ça se fait très vite punir. Le gros point noir que je vois concernant l'attaque, c'est que le jeu français s'oriente beaucoup sur la récupération et la possession, mais à chaque attaque, on ne voit que 3 françaises dans la surface adverse alors que le bloc défensif s'est déjà reformé. Donc domination stérile, les 3/4 du temps. Bref, une super solidarité défensive, mais dans la projection, ça suit rarement, et on se retrouve à caviarder des ballons dans la défense surpeuplée, ou à faire des frappes lointaines peu menaçantes faute de solution. Par contre, question intentions/mental et sur la répétition des coups de pieds arrêtés, c'était top. Le but était dans certes dans le jeu, mais c'était littéralement fait comme un coup franc. Défensivement, aussi, on concède trop de coups francs dangereux encore.
Il y a des buteuses elles sont juste pas appelées, Mateo et Bourdieu marquent pas mal en D1.

Sweden are in trouble now. Even in third place, they can qualify via playoff, but they will be drawn with seeded teams in the actual tournament draw. Will be an interesting clash with England. England are better defensively than France but deal with overloaded counter attacks badly. So England won't be pressing high all the time when they play France. Those games will be won or lost in the midfield imo.

6 minutes de temps additionnel ne veut pas dire que l'arbitre doit siffler au bout de 6 minutes. Il peut et il y a des arrêts de jeu pendant le temps additionnel. Et au final, l'arbitre est seul à décider quand siffler la fin de match.
Autant l'arbitre a globalement été pro-suédoises, autant les arrêts de jeu et le surplus d'arrêts de jeu y étaient.

Si tu as regardé le match, tu as dû voir qu'en milieu de terrain, quand elles étaient pressées par les Suédoises, les Françaises trouvaient toujours une partenaire à qui passer le ballon, et parfois en aveugle.
