Harvesting maize in the mud with a John Deere 6850 + Fendt 720 Vario from contractor P. van den Hardenberg from Elspeet in the Uddelerveen in Uddel in the Netherlands. The JCB Fastrac 8250 Vario from farmer Kroes comes to the rescue on this wet piece of land. It had rained a lot this year, making many corn fields impassable. The maize was transported to the ECOFERM of Kroes.

  • The sound of the John Deere 6850 is truly something special, and it's amazing to see how far harvesting technology has come. While the design may appear a bit dated now, it was undoubtedly a pioneering harvester of its time, setting the bar high for the industry. It's fascinating to reflect on the progress and innovations in agriculture machinery. Thanks for sharing your insights!

  • I can tell you one thing, try it yourself in a drenched country like the Netherlands. You have no idea how much water there is falling this year ... I can only respect for these people who have gotten off the corn there anyway this extremely wet season!

  • Bekannte Szenen .

  • Why not just swap the JCB out with the Fendt? Doesn't the 8250 have over 100HP more than the 720? Don't know the difference between fastracs and regular tractors, but if there is a difference that could be why like fastracs don't have as high of torque

    @IgoRHovnik@IgoRHovnik10 жыл бұрын
    • I have no idea why they not use a winch but this year there was really very extreme mud in Netherlands . . . some places where a lot worser. But i understand what you mean....

      @Agriculturespotter@Agriculturespotter10 жыл бұрын
    • You would winch it out?! Have you ever worked the fields, or is it only an idea, that winch?! Because... how in the hell are you going to winch out a large tractor with a loaded trailer behind it, all stuck in sucking mud?!?! What kind of winch and vehicle can do that? A tow-truck for trucks maybe? Because doing that with a tractor, the tractor that has the winch would simply pull itself towards the stuck tractor with loaded trailer. I guess you never worked with tractors on soft, muddy, water-saturated fields... Just let farmers do the farming, they know what they're doing. Correction, most of them know... lol

      @periesicsd@periesicsd10 жыл бұрын
    • periesicsd I think you're right Periesicsd because the large tractors with full loaded trailers, stuck in the mud are very heavy too pull out with a winch.... this year we have soo much rain that the fields where extremely muddy.... look at the other mud video's, the John Deere rups example, there you can also see how the fields where this year... :)

    • Sometimes here the rain would not stop and then you can wait and wait... this year it is the same, extremely wet but now it was first dry and most of the maize was harvested before the extreme rain.

    • Martin; Some times it rains when it is time to put upsilage , another few days and the corn will be too dry for cattle feed.

    • Alex Veldhuis Dit jaar was er helemaal niets aan de hand, niet zo gigantisch veel regen als toen dus helemaal geen problemen. Dat jaar regende het wekenlang iedere dag en nacht door.... overal stond de boel blank en zaten ze vast zelfs met rupsen was er bijna geen doorkomen aan, kijk maar eens naar de andere video's van dat jaar. Om een voorbeeld te geven hoe erg het was kijk hier maar eens naar: kzhead.info/sun/eKZxabKcmoGweHA/bejne.html.

    • Ik heb het nu gezien, dank je. Het gaat hun stukken beter af. Voordeel van het gebruik van rupsen en kleinere bakken. Ik ben zelf niet in Nderland, al niet sinds 1979, en was niet bewwust hoe echt nat het daar geweest is. Maar alsnog het verbouwen van hetzelfde gewas jaar na jaar is niet bepaald gezond, en mais is vooral een gewas dat veel uit de grond haalt. Goede clips hoor.

    • Alex Veldhuis De mais gaat er ook niet ieder jaar op hoor. Meestal 1-3 keer en dan is het vaak gras of graan en dan weer mais. Er is zeker wel genoeg afwisseling. Het was in 2013 extreem nat en overal zaten ze in de problemen. Gelukkig ging het dit seizoen veel beter. Op naar een volgend 'goed' seizoen. Bedankt voor de reactie!
