  • Also, the old tradition before is parents stay together with their chosen child. So if you want having birthdays with your child every year, you should live with them. You could even see him/her daily along with the spouse and grandchildren. Problem is nowadays old parents mostly doesnt want to move abroad with their child. Insisting staying in the original city/country, because their friends and relatives are all here.

  • The older you get, the more birthdays mean less. Now that I am retired, my birthdays are just my wife and myself. Children are 2500 miles across the sea, and haven't spent a birthday with me since 1988--and not because I am a bad father.

    • Because it take lots of time to travel and expensive. Our current transportantion technology is not good enough to find much faster and cheaper transportation.

    • Your children probably busy with their own family and responsibility also jobs. Probably also influenced by western culture if they are in western country.

    • Nowadays children's mindset (from 1970s to now), their mindset is not like people borned before 1950s which carefully pay attention with their parents well being, including visitting them or stay with their parents.

  • 中共國就只懂寫一堆範本劇, 內容空洞. 看看日劇"仁醫", 不論內容/編排/角色/演技/情感等等, 都不是中共劇只懂堆砌一堆嘢所能比較, 中共首先在劇情下功夫先, 當然我相信中共是辦不到的.

    • 哥们，有的时候考虑事情不是只有0和1，你喜欢仁医很好，我也很喜欢。好莱坞大片也是剧本，也要考虑市场认可的。可以试试1942、隐入尘烟这类的会发现惊喜，但是这类不卖座。
