This puzzle is not easy so you need to think hard to solve it. The solution is really beautiful!
This is a puzzle by Alois Wotawa and it was published in 1960.

It is more then only a nice puzzle. This chess study by Wotawa is quite famous

This puzzle must have won the "Miss Chess of the World" prize for the year1960.
That move, Rh8, really artistic!
After black rook takes the queen, white rook takes rook, white has two rooks. White may stop b pawn by rook b 8 and win a long battle. Of course rook h 8 the best move. Many players would not have thought of that.
This is an ingenious study by the famous Wotawa. I have corrected many of his studies.
Very nice, but far too difficult for me, although I did get the first move right!
Instead of taking the queen black could play rook f7+🤣
Great move 3.Rh8 but the defense after 3.Rxf8+ Kxf8 4.Rf1+ is not as trivial as you have shown, Black is saved by checking the wK after queening on b1.
The checkmate at Rf1 only happens if black takes the pawn instead of making a queen, if black makes the queen then the checkmate is Rxf8. The wording threw me for a bit of a loop there as well,
I pity whoever played black if that was a real game, that rook cornering was as unforseen as it was devastating

can be at 4:17 Rf8 and Rb8 pick up pawn and later either attack knigt or g7 pawn and win endings?
