Placing your impeller lower in the design would not only make your dams able to produce the same amount of power using a smaller generator, but, you could also work a larger generator using the same size dam. It just depends on how much power that specific dam needs to generate. If you need to generate more power you can work a larger generator by placing the impeller lower. Or, if you don't need to generate as much power, you can use a smaller generator when the impeller is placed lower.

I would pay you 500,000$ to build a dam like that near my crops. The snow and rain has been overflowing into the farmland and creating ditchs and making it unsafe to walk or drive.

The general is back at it again another masterful build I see you have two sluice gates one for the power one for overflow and then this central sluice gates for overflow control you think of everything great job I love these designs.😀

Very fun to watch, and fascinating. I would like to see dam that generates enough electricity to provide a benefit, rather that just lighting up some LCD lights.

I wonder how many Watts of electricity would that even produce. Even if it's 500 or 1,000 Watts it'd be absolutely worth it, considering it'll be 24/7.

- Not more than 5 watts, probably 1 or so. It takes an enormous amount of more water flow and/or height to give the power levels you seek. So this is for decoration or hobby. Or in this case, youtube views.

- Not heaps, tho I don't think he's concerned with that as you could easily improve the efficiency by putting the generator at the bottom of the pipe.

Неудачная конструкция, исток воды на турбину должен быть как можно ниже, тогда напор воды будет сильнее и мощность больше. В засушливую погоду может упасть уровень воды и турбина крутится не будет, хотя запас воды будет.

- I expect not, they're not dug nearly far enough into the embankments and ground to prevent seeping water from eventually breaching a path around the dam.

Amazing! Sadly, here in the USA it would take you 10 years and $2 million to get it approved. And if you just built it without permission you would go to jail. If you just go into a bank and steal $2 million, they just shrug their shoulders at you 🤪😬🤯

- @@alexc650 one must have the proper permits and environmental impact studies. Run you about $2million. If you do that without the proper permits and environmental impact studies, you go to jail. Unless the waterway is entirely on your land, which is most never the case.

It might power the toy train that belongs with the toy dam. It's nice craftsmanship, but nothing more. Not how a proper mini hydro would be built. It's a step up from the Cambodian house/pool builders that faked everyone out for years. Just like in those videos, there is a piece of property somewhere (in Asia) with 50 mini dams all around their irrigation channels. It the world we live in, a KZhead channel with lots of views pays better than farming

Note, there needs to be a sloping side so if the military does bombing raids, they won't be able to blow it 😅😅😅 or the Sheriff department, B.A.T.F., D.E.A., would be more likely.

first rain storm that thing is going to collapse. The walls on the side will cave in on the water ways at minimum. Then of course you will have kids standing on it. Very cool build as long as you know its temporary, but that just means you get to build it all over again.
