Welcome back to the series where I customize and review OG, and older DLC Vehicles from late 2015 and older that I was never able to make videos on. The reason I make these videos on these older cars is to provide my opinion on how they currently stack up to newer ones in-game. And ultimately, help you better decide on whether or not you should buy them when/if the more expensive ones go on sale.

  • The Duke o' Death has a special place in my heart. I used to own a Kuruma just starting out in the game but eventually upgraded to this and I just vastly prefer it over the Kuruma. The rocket resistance, higher top speed, faster acceleration, better handling, ramming power. It is just a better driving experience that outweighs its cons.

    • It depends on the situation to be fair. If you do more pvp then probably the Duke o' death is the better choice but for PVE the armored Kuruma is by far your best bet since it is almost impervious to bullets from all the angles

  • This was my go to car back 9n the day. Even when people where flying in opressors or deluxos i was crusining the streets in this beast.

  • Still one of my absolute favorite vehicles in the entire game. The pushing power works even better in story mode playing as Franklin, with his "Driving Focus" special ability.. makes it so easy to control the car so you dont lose traction basically at all. (at least back on xbox one.. havent played story mode in years)

  • 2 fun facts for both story mode and online. If you play as Franklin, and get the Duke up to its top speed using Franklin special ability, and then activate it before hitting a car, its pretty much the equivalent of a Phantom Wedge slicing through traffic. Franklins ability tuens cars into dust in the wind. Id spend hours hitting cars in the side and aiming them into walls to make them explode. In online, if youre doing bike sale missions, and you get the Post Op vans, and your friends have Duke o Deaths, the Duke can push the Post Vans really well, get them van going really fast with no brakes.

  • I like my Duke O Death in Wine red with a brighter red pearl like Torino red, and chrome secondary, idk I just love chrome on muscle cars. I just generally prefer more flashy paint jobs, even on armored vehicles I rarely use matte paint. Also want to note on the push-power of the Duke O Death it's nice that R* got the vehicle weight right, too many vehicles that should be heavy but aren't.

  • The Duke O'Death is my goto car for stash houses because of its ramming power. park with the driver door near the stash house door, run out of the house, jump in and take off. It will plow through any car that gets in your way like a knife through butter. You are correct..you can't be shot from behind. Protection from the front is almost non-existant, but you will mow down any car or person in your way better and quicker than the Karuma and youre outta there. The price you pay for that rear protection is a blind spot from shooting to the back in the Duke. This car-mower is way underrated because its free with the Criminal Enterprise Starter DLC. I am disappointed at its lack of customizable license but thats mostly minor. The Karuma already comes fully armored while the Duke does need an armor upgrade. But I used it for a long time un-ugraded and still was able to sweep the floor with "bad guys" chasing me, as well as outrun most of them. I just gave it all the performance upgrades except Turbo Tune which the indicators show won't do much of anything for it. So bottom line is, if you prefer to run than fight, the Duke is your go to. Want to stay and fight like in a gang war or other battle, Karuma wins between these two.

  • The Duke O’Death needed 4WD like the Kuruma has. Also they needed the armor on this car it now only takes two RPG rockets before being destroyed. Before it got nerfed it took 6 RPG rockets to destroy it. Also this car is my favorite armored car I just wish that it had 4WD I also wish that they didn’t nerf it. Also I always put chrome rims on my cars in this game. Also I put chrome off-road rims on this car.

  • hey DCA! For your next movie/TV car build, I think Lucifer's 1962 Chevrolet Corvette would be awesome to do. I believe the Blackfin is the closest make and model. Alternatively, Dean's Impala from Supernatural would be a great addition too

  • I remember when the duke-o-death got released online. I drove down the street and just watched people try to shoot me, and blow me up while I sat there on the corner of the street. One of my favorite cars when I played - it was nice to have a tank car to drive around the city.

  • Oh yeahhhh, this was my boy in grinding. Then my best friend got his girlfriend a copy of the game and they drove together in the armored Kuruma while I took the dukes and we just steamrolled through all the heists pulling up in these armored cars like an unstoppable NPC stompcrew

  • I will say this here... for the plates without upgrade! Like the Duke'O'Death, the RatLoader etc. and all other vehicles whose plate cannot be changed, you can do so with the plate app. You create the plate and to place the order, you select the car (Duke'O'Death). Then by bringing it to the LS Custom the change will be made.

  • I’m not 100% sure but the Duke O’ Death may have been inspired by the “Ghost Camaro” a 79 camaro used during the Bosnian war to deliver aid to refugees in warzones, really cool story and car if you look it up
