    • Actually, the vertex, the point of your head that you pointed, is craneal, not dorsal.

      @naturalspanish1049@naturalspanish10493 жыл бұрын
    • @@naturalspanish1049 technically not! Because when you're describing the head you use rostral and caudal - instead of cranial! Because everything on the head is cranial!

      @jesscliffee@jesscliffee3 жыл бұрын
    • @@jesscliffee @Jess Cliffe @Jess Cliffe I probably did not explain myself correctly. Technically everything in the head is cranial..and Is not at the same time. If we talk about an absolute term, the face Is not part of the cranium. If we talk about relative terms, my nose is cranial over my mouth ( Same way that both the nostrils and the eyes are rostral in a dog, but the nostrils are rostral over the eyes) That makes the point that you touched the most cranial part of your body ( that's why it's called the craneal vertex - or the general area the craneal boveda). Should have not said cranial though, because when taking about biped species we say superior over cranial ( so my nose would be situated superior over my mouth, but never dorsal to It). Sorry if my explanation sounds rude. I'm not trying to be mean at all. I'm doing the best I can with my english.

  • I’m considering becoming a vet tech and this video is really helpful. I don’t think I have the chops to be a true veterinarian because there is no way I could do surgery, but I’d still love to help treat animals. I used to help my cats give birth as a kid and it had a profound impact on me as a person

  • Yup, you definitely move to lateral saphenous on dogs if you blow the Cephalics. Actually it can be preferred to use these veins if a dog is head shy or has wounds on the forelimbs etc.. In cats we use the medial rather than lateral.

  • This video was so good Jess :) Just a suggestion but a video on like what you think would be good things to do to prepare for vet school would be sick. (Idk if you've already done something like this but I'm starting in Feb and a bit scared ahah.

  • I'm a rad tech student in my senior year but I know I want to go to vet school once I get my footing down. It's awesome to see just how much overlaps from human medicine (and radiology) to vetenarian medicine. We call VDs AP projections (anterior-posterior) and DVs PA (posterior-anterior).

  • I'm 12 and turning 13 in a phew months, I've known my whole life I wanted to be a vet. Its funny, I wrote this all down... I cant wait to volunteer at shelters and my uncles pet store, lots of animals come in there everyday he has lots of pets there, so its super fun and exiting !
