Some helmet manufacturers will give you a discount on crash replacements of their brand. This is really smart of the companies because it makes you want to repurchase that brands lid if it did a good job of protecting you, it can also help if you decide to replace the helmet if you've taken a medium hit and aren't if it's compacted under the shell in the impact spot.

That crash really doesn't get any easier to see the more you watch it. Very glad to see you came out of it relatively unscathed, as we know, that is a worst possible scenario place to come unclipped. Don't force yourself to come back too quickly, rest well. You'll be better for it, long term. Peace.

Glad to see you back up so quick. That drop was brutal and I was glad you bounced on to the top of the jump and not down as that would have been a different outcome for sure. The next big question is, “did you come un-clipped?” My daughter did a similar thing at much lower speed when her foot slipped off the pedal. Anyway, stay RAD , be safe and heal well.

My helmet broke as well but unfortunately so did a couple blood vessels in my brain. Luckily 20 years later I still don't remember the crash but I can still ride

As long as the foam of the helmet absorbs the impact, I would still choose the unbreakable helmet more. Btw in an accident its not always a single impact on the floor because you're moving fast. Durable helmets are better for me as long as the foam inside is good or thick.

If the helmet cracks it means your head doesn't. It took most of the damage so you can keep riding your ass off. Much love. Can't wait to see you on the gate again!

A good helmet is a lot cheaper than the damage you have to pay for from a cheap helmet or worse yet no helmet. I learned about this with my son and a chest protector. He got a handlebar to the gut and severed part of his pancreas.

Thankful for my Fly Racing helmet! I crack the crap out of it hitting the back side of the first jump at Rock Hill and it cracked all the way down the left side of the helmet at the goggle strap. Spent a week in the hospital with 6 broken bones, but none of them were my skull. And thankfully no concussion, nothing. #HealUp

There’s alotta people in vids saying they want indestructible helmets. Showing a dude smashing his helmet against a rod or the ground… if the helmet don’t break it’s just the same as your own head smashing against the ground 😬😝

I got hit by a truck I’m glad I had a helmet on. It was not the best helmet but it saved my head before my head was smashed by a truck tire. Not I have dam ptsd …..the story is worse then you know
